Reliance 4G LTE sim not working on Motorola Droid Mini (Verizon).

Hi.. I was on prepaid CDMA like most here, and have now shifted to 4G (rather was forced to). I have Motorola Droid Mini (Vrizon version). I tried the new 4G sim card in that, but it does not work (no data no incoming/otgoing/sms) I checked the webworld guy and he said that my connection is updated and it is now 4G_LTE, and that I should be getting the calls, subject to using correc phone. He candidly admitted that the 4G services are not operational, and that the present services are 3G only. I asked him about sending the sms with 19 digit sim number, he said that was for folks who did it before end of may. He said that I just have to switch on National roaming in the sim toolkit. I need to at least get my 3G/voice working. Can someone suggest what to do/check? On second thoughts, my mother has an older Nokia Lumia 525 (which was bought in India). I need to get hold of that and try, but for the timebeing my RCDMA is again dead. I also have a BB Z30 (I love that phone) it has B5 (850Mhz) B4 (1700 Mhz) and B7 (2600Mhz). However, it has my only operational Airtel prepaid card, and again its from US. If nothing works, I may be forced to just check with that. But I am worried about changes in the phone by which it registers with BB (via SIM), and hence not really keen on it. Help requested. Thanks and regards, -
Btw, I tried checking the recharges for 4G upgrade. It is 1 Rs but I dont see that option in regular recharge window. Secondly, we first get the SIM and then recharge with the INR 1/- or call 1299 right? I was wondering where the 19 digit 4G sim number came from. SOrry, mind not working well, with work and this **** to deal with. Thanks all.

Hello all Iam in a soup! I have prepaid CDMA number Mumbai Circle originally, but in MH for a long time now (Pune city). CDMA is at 1X now. I am not sure what will happen tomorrow. If you have seen CDMA users are having zero communication. wanted to know 1) Should I generate porting request? If the CDMA services are stopped, how do I get information about confirmation of porting etc.? 2) Should I upgrade ? As i thought it is better to get into 4G upgrade and then port out. No clue about what happens to tariffs and network quality. 3) WHat happens to CDMA users who have not upgraded till 31 st May, but may want to later. 4) WHat happens to CDMA users who have not upgraded even after the 31st Please reply, it will be useful for others also. Hi Manoj, Thanks for reply, my number had evdo activated. I am intermittently seeing 3G (in place of 1X) on the top panel near the network bars. No clue how many series. I had two. FOr those who need it, I got my card from Rel Web WOrld on DP Road, Pune 411001. Yes, I have already taken a spare one. You never know if your card gets corrupt. Best, NP

OK, Guys, good news. First, let me add that I got a card with serial number RGERUC0009xxxxx. So, I tried out adding the APN and I could. Which I could not in my old sim series RECRUC05xxxxxxx Now data seems to be working, but I am getting only 1X Probabaly network not good, let me check at home if I get 3G Thanks Guys for your support. Hi there... Waiting with interest on your attempt. As for me, even if this works, I will need a week at least to see if it is my cup of tea.. As it is, most of these words are difficult to understand. For someone who has not attempted rooting, it could be disastrous to miss one step. Best regards, NMP

Hello All, @Nibin @atishj and others, Great if your switch to new RUIM has worked. Mine did not. I replaced my old RUIM with a non pre cut RUIM , but still no chance of adding APN. Josh, Any updates on your end? ALso, I was charged INR 5. Best regards, NMP

Hi all, I am not sure this is the right place to post, but it is in continuation of my problem, so posting. I would like to know how, in the first place was my phone converted to use Reliance UIM. Hello all, I am able to connect to the web using my GSM number. However, no internet on CDMA yet. Vijayji, I do not have the plus sign in APN. When I put my GSM card, I got that. Also, I have a locked bootloader, which means I cant even root my phone. I guess I have to wait till someone comes up with a procedure to root my locked Bootloader phone on Kitkat. Seriously, its a shame, as I bought this phone simply to use my Mumbai CDMA connection (and on roaming in Maharashtra-GOa circle, if you will). I am yet to read someone saying good tihngs about Kitkat, everyone has complaints. I love this phone, but I cant use it. PS. I dont mind paying someone to get this working, if there are any who can. Thank you, will try that next week. Do you mean new RUIM for my number or new RUIM (with new number altogether?) Thanks again. I hope others take leasson here and DO NOT take any OTA updates of KITKAT without checking things like locked/unlocked bootloader for this phone. One last thing, Is data on GSM working? THanks,

Dear Vijay ji, Thank you very miuch for reply. When I go to Settings,>>...>>Accesspoint names, I cant see any + symbol. There is a menu in the top right panel When I click that, it says reset to default. NO other option. I tried that. Still no network I wish nobody gets this heartache. Someone please help.. Hi All, Im so stuck.. Like all people up here, I took the OTA updtate to Kitkat 4.4.2. I was using RUIM without any problem all these days (data and calls). And it has stopped hte data now, when I needed it most for email. And now Im stuck with NO DATA. .. (Really the emoticon) doesn't do justice to my feelings right now. I really rteallly need to get A) Data working Fone back to 4.1.2 (Jelly bean) Kitkat is so ****e, Even the interface has gone from a beautiful blue icons to pathetic white... I so regret not coming here on this thread to check people's experiences. Please please help me, and others stuck like me. I LOVE this phone, and want to use it for data. Im never going to update any software from hereon without checking. Thanks in advance, all Seniors, Gurus, Please help!! ;(
