  1. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Anyone from Bangalore who moved from Reliance CDMA to Reliance 4G? I sent the SMS to 1299 on 11th June, and no response from them until now. The customer service says that they've received the request and have not timelines when this will happen
  2. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Once they switch, do I know that it has been switched OR I'll be hanging somewhere in the middle guessing why someone is unable to reach me
  3. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Thank you. After sending the SMS for 4G upgradation, how long does it take for the old SIM to be deactivated and the new SIM to be activated?
  4. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

Can I use these 4G SIM Reliance had sent me in any old GSM phone? I need this service for the next 3 months. After that, I'll buy new phone. I only need it for voice. My data usage is almost zero. -PK
  5. Reliance CDMA Network Upgrade To 4G LTE

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (Sprint CDMA version). I just received the sim card from reliance (they've sent it through a courier service). After going through several messages, I'm confused and have a basic question: Will I be able to use the existing phone (Galaxy Note 3 - Sprint CDMA version) after migrating to the 4G SIM from existing postpaid 3G plan? I have another phone with the same plan but, the phone is a HTC 510 Boost Mobile phone 4G-LTE (can I continue to use these phones?). Regards -PK
  6. Hi, I have a Sprint Note 3, which is currently being used on Reliance. I might have to travel to US for 2-3 weeks. Can I use any of the prepaid CDMA sim cards in US (Sprint/Boost mobile/...) on this mobile? If yes, is there anything I should do to get this working? I tried checking IMEI number with Straight Talk and another provider, and I am told that I have to buy a phone compatible with their network. I checked ESN/IMEI on some other website, and I am told that it is clean. -PK
  7. We have a Sprint Samsung S4 mini that has a broken screen. To replace this phone, I'm thinking of taking a Samsung Note 3 (Sprint SM-N900p) from my friend who is visiting in a weeks time and use it with RUIM card. Can I directly use the same RUIM card? Do I have to do anything with the phone to make it work for voice and data? -PK
  8. No incoming messages on Samsung S4 Mini

<please excuse me for posting similar message on some other similar thread> What is the difference between RECRUC06 series and RG series? Here is what I observed recently. Whenever, I absolutely need messaging, I'll put the SIM card in my old Lenovo phone get the messages, and then put the SIM card back in Samsung Mini phone. To my surprise, the incoming SMS works on the Samsung phone for few hours after I move the SIM from Lenovo phone, and then I cannot receive anymore messages. This switching works many times (if I give few days gap between each of these switches). Does this point to some programming that is not yet done on this phone, which is causing Rcom to stop SMS to this phone because of some improper handshake (if any)? Note: For several weeks even outgoing SMS does not work from this phone -PK
  9. Sprint Note 4 Incoming SMS problem

What is the difference between RECRUC06 series and RG series? I have a Samsung Mini (SPH-L520) phone. SMS does not work on it. I had been struggling with this problem for several months now. Could this be due to a different series of SIM cad? Is there some programming that needs to be done (something forgotten - calls and data work well on Samsung phone)? -PK
  10. No incoming messages on Samsung S4 Mini

The incoming messages stopped again. Looks like some random behavior. Any clues about how and where to start? If I insert this RUIM card in another mobile, the incoming messages work (It appears to be more of a software issue on the phone) -pK
  11. No incoming messages on Samsung S4 Mini

I flashed the Sprint ROM - did not help. Did a system update - did not help. Tried not to do a app restore from Google - did not work I installed a custom ROM from XDA (only one available for this phone). It did not work. I don't know where the problem is. There were some old messages about S3 where users had issues with the default messaging app, and some of them had success with changing the messaging app. Changing to another messaging app did not work for me. Finally it worked - "did a factory reset, did not do a app restore - manually installed all apps from play store" - so far the incoming messages are working for more than a week now. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that this week extends into months I am not sure if this will help others having a similar problem. -PK
  12. Sprint Samsung Note 3 n900p recommendations for custom ROM

I am a recent Sprint Note 3 buyer like you. I had KitKatKiller ROM installed, which I got from the Sprint Note 3 section of XDA forum. This works great for me, very fast, comes with a lot of useful tools. The issues I have with this ROM are some random reboots once in 10+ days, which I got used to now, and invisible text in the dropdown menu in some apps, which I had chosen to ignore given the speed improvements it gives. Waiting for a stable Lollipop ROM for this device. -PK
  13. No incoming messages on Samsung S4 Mini

I recently bought a Samsung S4 Mini for use with Reliance. The voice, data and SMS worked after inserting the micro-RUIM card. However, within a day, the incoming SMS stopped working. The voice incoming and outgoing calls work. The 3G connection works as usual. The outgoing SMS also works. I did a full factory reset and the incoming SMS worked again for a day and then stopped working. The voice, data, and outgoing SMS work as usual ! The android version is 4.4.2, model no is SPH-L520. Please suggest a fix to this problem Regards -PK
  14. Thank you for a wonderful explanation. I've to see what the web world guy had put as the reason for transferring the number to the new sim card My bad, I should have checked it then. I did not realize the implications ( -PK
  15. I have a HTC EVO on Reliance number AAA. Recently, I bought another Samsung CDMA phone with micro-sim card in it, went to Reliance web world, bought a sim card, got the number AAA activated on new phone. Now the HTC EVO is not active. How can I reuse this phone for another number? This not a SIM based phone ! Thanks -PK
