A few observations about jiofi...purchased yesterday and got activated in 15 min since it was eKYC here in Delhi... 1. The simcard provided is locked to jiofi and it will alays show data exhausted if you try to use it in a different device confirmed this by inserting device in a phone as well as a unlocked hotspot. 2. RIL has somehow capped the speed of the sims provided through preview offer...I have a simcard which I got through samsung preview offer and I am using the same in unlocked hotspot. The speed comes around 10 Mbps but when I connect using jiofi which is placed next to my hotspot the speeds are >30 Mbps. I checked and confirmed both devices are on 2300 band and same tower. 3. After this I inserted my preview simcard in jiofi and as suspected the speeds are only 10Mbps and hence reached conclusion that Jio is favoring its own devices over partner preview simcards Also to add...I confirmed the speeds with various speedtest apps as well as downloaded some files... Yes you are right Hejmady. I called cc and he also told the same thing that default ID is the mobile number. I was able to login and also verify my email after which now both number as well as email ID is working as Jio ID while signing in. As far as regarding address rectification he told me to go to store. Today I wenr to the store and the manager told me to come on day after tomorrow since it was over crowded today and he promised me that things will be fixed. I found that Jio Customer care executives are polite, soft spoken, helpful and cooperative - the number of time I called and the way they helped and guided me to resolve my issues. Hope they will continue like this in future too but till now Jio experience is smooth and enjoyable sailing.

Jio ID is your Jio MDN [mobile No.], 70xxxxxxxx is just an example!

JIO's tariffs may not be appealing for persons who are already using some kind of special plans For me even spending Rs.150 per month for all my family members would be an expensive idea. We are all on MTS and call each other for free. For other calls we hardly spend Rs.100 each. my local internet provider provides sufficient data volume for Rs.500. Further, I am not in mood for spending money for Volte handsets. Though, I will miss JioPlay, no one in my family is addicted to TV. I won't continue with JIO after JPO ends. I see JIO's tariff useful to only those without any good (existing) plans.
