Reliance Infocomm has launched a wireless card, which can be slipped into the PCMCIA slot of a laptop or other devices for high-speed wireless connectivity to the internet, besides offering voice and short messaging service (SMS). This card is an extension of the R Connect Data card that Reliance Infocomm had launched earlier this year. The Reliance Sierra Wireless card, which is the size of a credit card, facilitates Net connection on laptop computers with high download speeds up to 144 kbps. The special feature of this card is that it doubles a Reliance post-paid card. Speaking to eFE, senior vice president, Reliance Infocomm, Lalit Sawhney said: "The wireless card can be used as a post-paid card. The card has a 'jack' in it, where one can insert a hands-free mobile phone. The card can then be inserted into the laptop which would have a dialer interface through which the customer can dial a number or send SMS. In the future, we will be launching it in the pre-paid category too." The card works like a modem offering full value added features of a mobile phone such as call waiting, call forward, conference and voice mail. The software with the card also offers a range of features like phone book, call history, ring tones and security features like key guard and lock code. Priced at Rs 14,700, the card is mainly targeted at the corporate customer who has to access the Net while on the move, Mr Sawhney said. Reliance Infocomm is offering a deferred payment option for corporates under which the customer can make a down payment of Rs 5,000 and make a monthly payment of Rs 950 for a year. Hi prabhakar, I entered the battery recharge code. its working fine. The problem is whenever the battery comes down the battery icon still showing 3 bars at the top. Its difficult to come to know the battery is low. If u know the code properly, then suggest that codes to others. If u dont have the idea pls dont give wrong codes. regards Guru
