  1. We are all eagerly waiting for the Jio launch to port out to them. I would like to ask whether Jio will entertain port-ins from customers ditching RCOM? Won't they have a no-poaching agreement in place between them? TRAI and customer's choice be damned! If there is such a pact between RCOM and Jio, isn't it better better to do RCOM>other operator (wait 90 days)>Jio?

  2. Where can I find the option to turn on voice roaming on the RN3? The background is 4G got activated for my RCOM number today. And right away I have these issues:

    - I have no incoming calls or SMS from any network

    - I have outgoing to Airtel landline and mobile

    - Data is at EDGE speeds

In phone information for SIM 1 I get Roaming as Inactive. According to RCOM call center, the solution for this problem is that I have to turn on domestic roaming from some place called "R Menu" under settings and restart the phone. Appreciate your help. Thank you.

  3. Hi,

I finally got around to registering my feedback (read total satisfaction) on this purchase. The transaction was as smooth as could be wished. Pre-purchase: well-framed, upfront offer reg. phone and bundled accessories incl. that rather rare commodity, i.e. HCCs. Post-purchase: thoughtfully-packed against most bumps and dumps and promptly dispatched. Kapil's measure as a truly dependable, highly-knowledgable, and equally-important, patient, seller lay in the hand-holding that Kapil afforded once the phone arrived and I had transferred the number and got 1x data working. There was an issue with not being able to send or receive SMSs for which Kapil had asked me to raise a service request with Rel. Customer Care (a masochistic exercise at best) in parallel to the trouble-shooting assistance that he would provide. After much effort, which included a factory-reset, an SBF and a PRL refresh - a big thing for a newbie -, Kapil helped fix the issue, after which, the very first message I got was from Reliance informing me that my SR was closed as issue resolved :mad44::ranting: .

I am totally satisfied with the deal and would highly-recommend Kapil Agarwal as a dependable seller.

  4. Hi,

Has anyone at all been able to resolve the dead touchscreen issue? My Pixi+ touchscreen conked off a few days ago as I have apparently committed the cardinal sin of letting my battery discharge completely. Ever since then, the touchscreen works ok when the phone is charging but dies once the charger is unplugged. I have always only used the original charger and micro USB cable that came bundled. Please help. Thanks,

    Arun

  5. Sadikkbhai... I was trying the above steps.. but after I enter SPC and let it read the phone and then select PPP config, the username and password fields are greyed out under PP Authentication... Please advise.

Go to UM and AN Tabs and write username/password. i hope this helps

Thanks a bunch Praful.. that did the trick !!

Thanks Praful, your workaround did the trick for me too. Thanks as well to Sadikk Bhai for putting together the pp+ quick data guide in the first place.

  6. :previous: Do not worry about rebooting of the phone after changing both the field. Mine did not reboot as well. just continue with the step suggested by Sadik and you will be fine. Phone will connect to wifi if you have the signal.

Hello Sadikk Bhai, the same happened with my handset as well, i.e. no reboot on changing and saving the MDN and MSID, I connected through my Wifi modem and created the Palm profile, ran firstuse app and got to the App catalog alright. *228 also went smoothly. Now for the part(s) that didn't go as per script:

    - I tried to blank out the MDN and MSID, it doesn't work, I couldn't save with blank fields.

    - I had changed my MDN and MSID to a series of ones and twos, the MDN is still the same, whereas the MSID shows a number I don't recall entering.

    - Under device information, the number against Phone is the same as I had entered in the MDN field using ##000000#, the same number can be seen under NAI when I select More Options.

    Are these potentially issues?

I would like to know, how to transfer my phonebook, which I extracted in CSV format from my previous phone, to my pixi plus. Many thanks in advance.

    Kr,

    Arun
