Apologies for bumping an old thread
Requesting assistance from @::Hitesh:: or anyone else familiar with the Sprint and VZW nexus to advice on upgrading from 4.1 TeamEOS sprint ROM
Can I keep FC12 radio and upgrade directly to the Sprint CM12 version i.e. update recovery, and flash ROM?

As far as I knew, and am out of the loop for a long time, there is voice fallback. Very few, if any at all, operators have only volte till date as Sudharshan also was mentioning.^ ^ ^
So only VOLTE for voice? No CSFB fallback in RJIO?
Of course if someone wants to use their bundles to the max then volte and vowifi handsets are better.
This is purely my understanding of it.

Not many countries have VoLTE.
as a consumer for most for it really does not matter if Voice call goes via 2/3/4G
For countries where VoLTE is offered it is restricted to selected handsets only(Mostly iPhone/Samsung and few operator provided phones)
Airtel/Idea/Voda are in no hurry to offer VoLTE
Thanks Sudarshan. To add to it, no one else has rolled out VoLTE in the scale that RJIO will be doing - even VZW uses CDMA as their primary voice carrier till now though they are moving it over to VoLTE in phases. People looking for LTE data need not stop their purchases - if you must buy a VoLTE supporting phone however then buy a S6 or ip6 etc.

Err no, you just quoted the "Which data plan will you take?" from the URL given in this post
An ARPU of 200+ is what they have measured against. So they will be giving extremely competitive voice and data plans, with added platform/content apps
-
@ami1 no it will not be a problem in jio as voice is also provided over lte and not gsm. Expect upto 70-80mbps speeds initially on lte and 100mbps on fiber bb

Edit phone.odex needed please

@KanagaDeepan they will use VoLTE. LYF phones are VoLTE/VoWiFi capable

It means that the existing rcdma 800mhz will be used to give 4g also. Basically it is an interconnect and a defacto merger. Ultimately it will be in all circles where they own bandwidth.

@digitalnirvana
Dear, Finally you have decided after 6 months search.
Could have saved all this rental and bought a gsm phone with it
-
Could not find it on the plans website for postpaid (is there for prepaid), but the executive gave the plan name so thought of posting here
One India One Rate 599 is shown in website, but only under GSM
Thanks for the note. I had got a sms saying SR processed so thought it was done. Called up cc and they said you have been offered a wrong plan as it is not available in CDMA, hence we have canceled your SR and the same is informed to you via sms. RCDMA never ceases to amaze me in how incompetent they can be.
Anyway opted for Homeroam349 with an additional 2gb evdo pack.
Also surprising was that I was on 1499 plan with 6000 minutes cap, but they offered me to move to unlimited i.e. no FUP plan at 1299. I actually told them so I was paying 200 more for a worse plan then?

@shahab shows sold out

@digitalnirvana, do not use Data beyond 1 GB, otherwise they will Deactivate your HSD.
