Reliance 4G proving to be very costly compared to RCDMA. In CDMA postpaid i had 1000 L+N minutes, 100 sms, and 2 GB EVDO data in 399 plan.

Yesterday i got an sms stating that now i am getting 750 L+N mins, 100 sms, and 512 MB 4G data.

So 512 MB vs 2 GB data. This is cheating since Reliance had told that the existing CDMA plans wont be changed in 4G.

Am thinking to port out to some other operator.

Is JIO going to be launched on 15th August? Am thinking of porting to JIO.

Extermely unfortunate that RCom does this to its customers. This is not right!!! I wonder they want customers on their network or not?by giving a port out request will it help in retaining the same plan atleast with rcom?

have a look at their strategy till date :-

firstly you change from cdma technology to 4g so your cdma phone which u spent atleast 10-12k goes worthless or piece of paper weight

next you tell customers to get new 4g phones to enjoy 4g services

lastly you  increase customers  plans so that customers pay more

wha! re wah! Rcom great going in loosing customers.:unexp:

  3. Jio is not working in REDMI NOTE 3 and HONOR HOLLY 2 PLUS.

    personally tested with all modes.

    :(

    @SmartSamrat;

did you try the MTK engineering mode to enable manually 4g for jio?

Also in some handsets like coolpad note 3 lite and coolpad for jio and data to work changing settings to enable 4g helps .

  5. Hello All:

I had a word and dropped a mail with Huawei India and told them of this issue. The customer service guy acknowledge the issue for Internet Data not working on Reliance Cdma and said that Huwaei recd lots of complaints on this.

He further added that this issue is being looked into by the product team and shall be resolved in the next 48 hrs. He had taken note of email and said that email will be sent with resolution. Also it is not the sim series problem its the software problem .

By the way Tata EV works flawlessly on amanually adding apn settings.

I hope this is not just another gimmick and things will sort out soon.Hopefully they release a patch soon !!!

I think all those owning this handset should complain so that this problem sorts out soon rather than late.

  6. Hello All:

As far as 4g goes I think we have to be careful in purchasing the same, reason being apart from the band support one has to also ensure that the handsets supports VOLTE (voice over lte) to be future proof.Reliance JIo has VOLTE , other carriers might flolow suit. Hence our handsets need to be future proof.LYF handsets support VOLTE.

Some handsets do support VOLTE however a software patch is required to enable VOLTE

This is just for info , correct me if i am wrong.

  7. Hello:

Its been a very long time since i posted on the forum though i follow the posts extremely regularly.

As far as EVDO is concerned i do have the BSNL EVDO since a long time the major benefit is the pricing with unlimited usage and no caps or FUP.

However the speeds vary and have never touched the most acclaimed 2.1MBPS even when you are in close vicinity of the BTS. The average speed atleast which i get is around 990kbps~1Mbps max.I have tried all tricks to get better speeds but of no use.

BSNL EVDO does not work in Mumbai nor Delhi , i have tried at both these places it does not even show 1x connenction infact no signals.

As far as other areas other then these two are concerned the connectivity is good and in remote areas it switches to 1x mode with max 300kbps.

The reason for drops in speed in semi metros is because of increased number of users in a particular BTS.

With the RUIM cards and the Micromaxx modems the spped increases by 100kbps.RUIMS are not available everywhere in India , the marketing dept of BSNL have been selectively launching the cards . In Maharashtra no signs of it yet.Its has been tested but not launched yet.
