  10. Hi Friends, I am planning to get a BSNL Broadband connection for my home. I do not want the modem provided by them. And so I plan to buy one which also has wifi inbuilt in it. I plan to have 2-3 wifi routers inside the home, so that each of them connect to the 'base' modem/router which has the bb connection from bsnl.. This way my whole home is wifi enabled, and I can use it to connect to my lappy, my phone and also the PlayON HD player... I hope you understand.. So presently, suggest me modems (with app. price, if possible) which also has wifi connectivity in it.. Cheers

    @DK, Thanks for the info... We have been using Laura for the past 3 years, no problems whatsoever with service (except that every year atleast 20K is paid for normal things in service).. Thanks for the link.. now gorging on it..

Like I have a Receiver in the first floor, and I have the HDMI Player (Blu Ray/DVD/POHD) in the ground floor with my TV. But I would want to stream (Audio and Video) from such a player in ground floor to first floor to my receiver, which is connected to my Home Theatre. There is a clear Line of Sight between the ground and first floor (a 'hole' between the two floors) If someone is using such a thing, then do provide us your reviews on such a product..

  15. Hello Friends... My dad will be going to Europe now, and I want him to get one Digital Camera for us... It is not for any professional use, but normal use... Simply outings, some small functions, etc... My requirements, 1) Slim 2) Not a small screen 3) Steady shot/blur reduction/red eye, etc... it should be stable in these conditions (Because I am not a good photographer, and the camera might shake and the pics get blurred) 4) Zoom is not a necessity. If its there, it'll be an advantage 5) FLASH, a must. 6) Good Battery life. It should have those AA or AAA batteries... it should have the ones that come specially for that particular camera 7) Memory card should be a 'common' one, like SD card, or microsd, etc.. Should be eligible to have more than 8 GB if possible.. 8) Should have a carry pouch 9) Budget under 15K Thats it... I dont think the list is exhaustive... I am bored of doing some research... So thought that I am sure some of our friends in rimweb must have done some research or bought one anytime lately, so i might as well take their help So shoot your comments..

LOLZ... actually have devoted more time to work now than earlier, and so decided to sit low on internet.. Abhi sab kuch (office related) come on the phone directly.. PC is only for browsing, etc.. I understood your above mentioned post, but I did not understand (from the first post of this topic or the 2nd page post), that this topic can also show results of wired/wireless broadband on PC/wifi... I was under the impression that only speeds on the phone (minus wifi) through 3G or EVDO conection.. Let me not elongate my stand on this... Lets enjoy!! @Rajanbhai, I liked your sentence..

  21. WOW... Awesome speeds there Rajanbhai.. I also am visiting this topic after so many days, and saw the updated TOP 5 List in the first post.. Congratulations to Rajanbhai and Tarunbhai to overtake my spot.. However, I always had thought that this topic was only for Mobile Broadband (Like HSUPA/EVDO/LTE, etc), and I didnt know that it is also valid for wired/wireless Broadband from other ISPs.. If this was the case, then I am sure, noone would be able to beat Muffy's speeds (outside India) and Hetalbhai's speeds (in India) Just a thought to the Mods..

    ^^^ Thanks for the info, I meant indulged my desires.. will edit the post.. Regarding DVR, I have a motto, if you have it flaunt/use it.. But if you dont have it yet, how will you use it?? Now since we have the DVR, ill try to put it to good use... You yourself have given me some great ideas (record when we are travelling, etc).. Thanks
