  1. Lg2130 & Rconnect Driver For Mac Osx?

I haven't tried ut using R-connect ona Mac but made an informed guess posting that apparently worked for a Mac user...here goes For LG phones: LG - If you have a LG with a third party USB cable, in all probability it is using a profilic chipset (or FTDI otherwise) - Download the PL2303 USB-serial chipset driver for Mac OS from profilic.com.tw - Install th driver and pray that ur cable gets recognized :-) - If the cable gets recognized as a USB-serial converter, ur job is almost done - Use the native DUN dialler ...Use #777 as the dial number - Enter UID, PW and choose the correct port (the virtual com port created by the cable) Try connecting....Should work
  2. Help! Lg 2130 Not Working On Mac Osx 10.3

me Thinks u r either not enetering the UID PW correctly (93xxx format and not 093....) Also, back to the basics, did u give the Reliance guys a call to get your R-Connect activated...the old method (dialing *412 or whatever that no was) doesn't workl any longer and you need to call up the helpline number to get this done
  3. Help! Lg 2130 Not Working On Mac Osx 10.3

I haven't faced this issue, but see if this helps.... Assuming u have a 3rd party cable, Since 2130 has a native serial connectivity so all USB cables for 2130 have a Serial to COM emulation chip inside (normally PL2303 in 3rd party cables) Since ur OS ois not detecting a new port, i guess the drivers u r using are not correct... Go to Profilic's website...www.profilic.com.tw (or similar, do a google if this doesn't work) and search for PL2303 (USB-serial converter) chip drivers for OS-X...use them and see if it works...do post ur findings too
  4. Usb Data Cable For Lg Rd2130

Huh, i too got into this issue, and what a pain it was to resolve it.... Anyway, my 2 cents..... One common misconcepton among vendors (cable sellers) is that both 2130 and 2030 have the same pin configuration and a USB cable for 2030 will run on a 2130 too.... Unfortunately, that's not the case..... Apparently, the serial cable for the 2030 can be used for the 2130 too, but the USB cable for 2130 is different..... I assume u r getting stuck at the step where you have to choose the port on R-Connect installer...and even after selecting the correct port (COM3/4), ur phone will not get detcted...sorry sir, ur only option is to change the cable..... My vendor did not agree to the fact that the cable for 2030 is not the same as 2130...I had to take my laptop along to prove it to him and only then did he return me the money.... I then had to hunt around for the cable again and every1 gave me the same 2030 cale which refused to work..... I finally managed to track one dealer who knew the difference and gave me the right cable, which worked as a breeeze
  5. I bought a 3rd party USB cable for my RD2130 (moonlight). I verified the cable by plugginf it into my laptop and the laptop (Win XP home) instantly recognized the device as a USB-Serial converter. I then happily bought the cable and came back home. The problem started when I tied to install the drivers. The CD that came along with the cable apparentyly had the drivers (FTDI) which I tried installing but to no avail. Windows always returned an error saying invalid drivers. I tried downloading the latest drivers from Relianceinfo.com but none seemed to work. My question now is: 1- If the cable gets recognized by Windows, could it still be defective? 2- the driver CD that came with the cable has the drivers that are available on the reliance site. Is it possible that third party cables use a different chipset (than the reliance original cables) and hence the driver mismatch 3- If yes, what are the other possible drivers, and where can I find them? Thanks
