    Airtel 4G LTE on smartphones launched in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula



    Airtel today launched its 4G LTE service on smartphones in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. The company had in February debuted its 4G services on mobile in Bangalore and had tied up with Apple to offers the 4G connectivity on iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. Likewise, this time as well the company has tied up with Apple to launch 4G on mobile in these areas. Airtel was already providing 4G LTE services in the region via 4G dongles and Wi-Fi base stations.


    Apple iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C users can upgrade their existing SIM to a 4G SIM and choose from various 4G plan to use Airtel’s 4G network. The operator is also offering demos of the service in the company operated stores in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula.


    Besides the two iPhones, Airtel 4G services can also be used on Xolo LT 900 and LG G2 4G LTE (model D802T). To know more about it, one can SMS 4G to 53636 or call 121 or log on to www.airtel.in/4g-for-iphone for more details.

    TDSAT clears 3G intra-circle roaming pacts, quashes fines on Bharti, Vodafone, Idea



    NEW DELHI: The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) Tuesday cleared the 3G intra-circle roaming agreements signed between Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular, saying the pacts didn't violate any license conditions.


    TDSAT, in its ruling, also quashed the penalties levied on the three operators by the telecom department (DoT). The DoT had hauled up Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular for forging 3G service sharing pacts that allowed them to sign up 3G customers even in service areas, or circles, where they did not have permits. DoT had said that three violated 3G license conditions.


    The DoT had earlier slapped penalties of Rs 350 crore on Bharti Airtel, Rs 550 crore on Vodafone and Rs 300 crore on Idea Cellular for providing the 3G facilities outside their licensed telecom zones through the ICR agreements.

    Yes you can. But how effective it will be, nobody knows..

    Under which department we have file complaint.
    You can use Consumer Online Resource & Grievance Redressal System for complaints against any brand / product / services which is managed by Consumer Coordination council & supported by Ministry of Consumer Affairs.

    Rajan bhai, how does this website called "Kaunsa.com" work ?

    They show NOTE 3 for Rs 9,999 but I can't find any terms/conditions/FAQs on how its so cheap ?

    By exploiting basic human nature to fall for unbelievably cheap price offers!
    As mentioned here by other posters, most probably it will be a cheap chinese clone phone if at all it is received.
    (Same experience also mentioned by many people in other online reviews)
    Just type "Kaunsa Fraud" in google search & be aware of huge number of people who have never received either the product / refund OR got fake ones & defrauded by Kaunsa. It looks like Timtara Version 2.

    HTC One (M8) will work on Indian 4G LTE networks



    The just announced HTC One (M8) will work on 4G networks in India. The company has confirmed the units sold in India would support TD-LTE in Band 40 (2,300MHz), which is the band on which Airtel operates its 4G networks and RIL’s Jio Infocomm would launch its 4G network. At the moment, 4G connectivity on smartphones is only available on Airtel’s network in Bangalore.


    HTC has also confirmed that One (M8) users will be able to access 4G LTE networks in other countries as well, though there is no clarity at the moment about which all countries it would work. The One (M8) would launch in India in the third week of April. HTC has not yet revealed the price of the device in India at the moment.


    The One (M8) is the successor to the One and features a 4-UltraPixel Duo Camera on the rear that enables users to change the focus in any photo after it is clicked, providing users with shoot first, focus later functionality. It also has a 5-megapixel front facing camera with BSI and auto-focus for selfies. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB internal storage, microSD card slot and a 2,600mAh non-removable battery.

    Is there any phone that supports both TDD-LTE @ 2.3GHz AND FDD-LTE @ 1.8GHz, so that we can use RJio's Pan India LTE as well as liberalised spectrum 1800MHz by RJio or Airtel which they got in recent auction???? Thanks...

    I believe Samsung launched versions of Galaxy S4 & S4 mini with dual mode TDD-LTE /FDD-LTE support in september 2013 for china market & optus network in australia.

    Shopclues one day cracker deal : JBL Micro II

    I am sure its not BT speaker.

    Can I expect it to output stereo sound (left | right) if I daisy-chain two of these or in some other way?

    It's not bluetooth version. You can daisy chain but the output won't be stereo.

    Recently my cousin got Canon EOS 600D offline for 36k...

    Don't go for online purchase as they are restricting warranty for the same.. just saw on economic times...

    Don't fall for such propaganda & re-circulate it. AFAIK, No brand has said that they are restricting warranty for online purchases of genuine products. They can't even do that legally. Because online stores are selling most products far below MRP / Market operating prices decided by the brands, brick-mortar stores, traditional retailers are feeling the pinch as sales of many tech products are moving online. Such retailers are used to sell near to MRP & make good margins. Some have through associations protested/complained to brands. Due to this some brands have issued consumer advisory couched in confusion saying that products sold online may not be genuine/could be fake and hence the customer may not get the desired warranty. They have also said that online stores are selling products at much less price distorting the market and such practice is not in consumer interest!! Right, according to brands, consumers getting products cheaper is not in consumer interest!!
    Only thing they are doing is to publicise this in media confusing consumers who are not properly aware. Such consumers will think twice before buying online and will help brands in doing delicate balancing between retail chain & online business.

    Anybody know any good deal for good wireless headphones. Mainly would like to use it with TV. Don't want to shed more than 2k...

    I have used it. Only con is it's infrared so line of sight only but that does not matter if you're going to be sitting at one place & watching TV/listening music. Otherwise really nice headphone for the price, good build & sound. Has rechargeable batteries inside headphone. Once charged, can give 8-10 hours of listening.

    I am planning to buy a dslr. Being totally novice in photography I would need your suggestions and any deals for the camera. One of my friend suggested me that no matter which model I buy I must make sure to go for at least 18-55 and 55-250 lenses as without them my purchase would be incomplete.

    My budget would be around 25-30K (Being a noob I would not like to spend much but will go with your suggestions :-) ).

    Facebook is buying WhatsApp messaging app for $19 billion



    New York: Facebook is buying mobile messaging service WhatsApp for $19 billion in cash and stock, by far the company's largest acquisition and bigger than any that Google, Microsoft or Apple have ever done.


    The world's biggest social networking company said on Wednesday that it is paying $12 billion in Facebook stock and $4 billion in cash for WhatsApp. In addition, the app's founders and employees - 55 in all - will be granted restricted stock worth $3 billion that will vest over four years after the deal closes.


    The deal translates to roughly 9 per cent of Facebook's market value. In comparison, Google's biggest deal, Motorola Mobility, stood at $12.5 billion, while Microsoft's largest was Skype at $8.5 billion. Apple, meanwhile, has never done a deal above $1 billion.


    The price stunned Gartner analyst Brian Blau. "I am not surprised they went after WhatsApp, but the amount is staggering," he said.
