R-Connect does work on a mac... and the LG 2130 I am a mac user and had posted a problem regarding getting my cable to work... thanks to abhi's advice.. i got it working... but for some odd reason my authentication on my phone seems to be failing... will keep u posted in case i figure it out. and if u do get connected.. please tell me how u got it to connect... all the best.

well... i do not really know how to elaborate on this... I've put down exactly what happens each time i try to connect... It tells me that I cannot connect coz my authentication failed. am really sorry but this is driving me crazy... thanks anyways.

hey guys... thanks for all the input provided on getting my phone working on my mac. Now this is the problem... - I typed in my RIM no. 93******** as my User ID and password... - made sure that all the error tabs/TCPIP header compression/wait for Dial tone... etc.. are not checked.. - I then ask it to connect...which it does...coz i can see the phone showing the connect symbol... - BUT!!! it doesn't authenticate... it disconnects... - the comp is still disconnecting... - my phone (the modem) disconnects and I get the words "PPP Data" on screen and it gets connected... - remember, my comp is still disconnecting... - i then have to cut my phone off... and then I get an error message on my comp which says "Authentication Failed"... so that's the latest problem... thanks guys.. this is where I found a solution to my last problem.. am hoping i can find an answer to this one too...

U are a GOD!!!! thanks a million for making this whole cable thing work... but I now have a new problem... it refuses to authenticate and keeps disconnecting... i can see it connect on the phone, but immediately it just disconnects... please could u give me a solution... thanks for coming in time...

thanks... but besides that, do u know how I can get it to work on the Mac OS 10.3... am sure he meant 10.3.6... nyways... would really appreciate if someone could make this work on a mac... am really desperate sonce i'm leaving town in a few weeks and most of my work gets done on my mac... thanks again.

hey guys, this is out of sheer desperation... I bought a USB data cable for the LG 2130 and installed all the drivers on my mac that runs OS 10.3 (Panther).. for some reason it does not detect the port/modem... was going through your list and saw that another member - "the meanest indian" had faced the same problem, which he solved on his own... PLEASE CAN U TELL ME HOW U GOT IT TO WORK!!! AM DESPERATE!! ANYONE!! your efforts will be much appreciated!!! thanks.
