  1. Emmi, I am very well aware of that!!! If you read Sahumans post again, u'll see that he mentiones hes getting full signal strength where he is ...and he hasnt mentioned that hes out of the city! And if he is able to make voice calls/sms from there ...it should be possible to access the net too.

At any rate, he should talk with the helpdesk!

I dont think he has really specified anywhre he s able to make or recieve calls .I think Sahumans should clarify bout this . any way even if u r outside the sdca u will recieve full signal but u cant acess it. remeber relianc e bfore roaming was introduced even if u went out of the city u can see the signal strength but u cant make calls. Its like this the phone is able to detect the reliance signals which it is supposed to work under but it isnt authorized by the base station to make any calls data or voice>

  2. what the hell are u people thinking ? FWP means Fixed Wireless Phone, do u think the fwp will work everywhere then what fun is it in taking a mobile phone when u can get the same from a fwp at a lower tariff.Fwp s usually work in a sdca of few km radius once they go out of the sdca they dont work. Its just like a landline but its portable upto some distance.

for those of u who dont know sdca is like a very small circle like a particular locality in a city Ex:Old city in hyderabad

  3. Hey i'm not recieving my phone bills and to top it i'm recieving calls to pay my bill or else face the consequences. So i checked out my online bill and to my horror found out that i've been fined 25 bucks to my latest bill as late fee charge.I'm used to getting bills once in three months and was paying it regularly. But now i'm facing threatening calls and being fined even though i didnt recieve the bill

My friends who didnt pay the bill amounting to a few thousands are now enjoying their new prepaid phones with their dues waived off and me an honest customer who pays the bills regularly had to face the music.

Should i pay the fee and forget everything or make a huge bill and then get converted to prepaid??

If anyone shares my agony and pain please express your views.

  4. I think u are all missing one important aspect while comparing phone plans.Reliance is giving data enabled services which no other operator provides for free.Since it is free u cant expect much quality from it.But from sept since its becoming paid u can expect some qua;ity from it.

  5. Emmi, what you mean by saying "quite flexible" seems to be that you are reffering to excessive "tolerance" or "play" between the phone body and the battery. I too have this problem in my RD2030 (with orignal battery and all)- the left side edge between the battery and the phone dosent fit too well and creates an irritating creaking sound when you use the keypad. I had complained about this to the LG service centre, but they say they simply dont have a solution!  Just shows what LG thinks of quality!!!

However, Iv never had problem about my phone switching off automatically!  :)

Yes thats what i meant it could bend very easily , the poblem started when i had an accident and my phone battery started giving me problems cos the battery dint sit propery onto the phone

  6. Well the probelem is with the cell design. When they made it they made it quite flexible and there is some gap between the phone back where they have the sticker with some bar code and the battery .When some pressure is applied on the batery somewhere Just below the clip with arrow pointing upwards on the battery the battery bends and contacts stop touching the battery.

Atleast this is the problem i had after i dropped it a few times.

The best soultion to avoid it is to fold a peice of paper place it betwwen ur phone and battery make sure its not too thick and make sure u dont block the contacts with the paper.

Hope this post solves ur problem

  7. There is another aspect also...that of health hazard, It is just "may be"...... could anyone throw light on this?

I found that my phone works the same with or w/o the antenna.May be it helps a bit but i think its not worth mentioning.ANd talking bout health hazards dont keep ur phone in back pocket of tight jeans cos i have a friend who kept it in his back pocket and it tore . :)

  8. what exactly hapens when U set it ? Does it not ring not vibrate or neither ?

    s/w upgrade might help U.

I Think code what he meant was that there is no option available for enabling vibrate+Ring as we have in rd 2030 or some other phones.

I dont think even a s/w upgrade may help.

  9. hey ... i dont think R world is handset specific ... ppl correct me if im wrong. the only handset that doesnt have the video sections is the nokia handset ... anyways try resetting R world and c if the link to ICICI shows up

no r world is definately handset specific , How else can you justify the varying screen sizes and video capabilities .May be the basic content is same but some handset specifc content like ringtones wallpapers differs . So when u try to acess r world u will be directed to the r world specified for your handset
