  1. I asked my cousin about the UIM slot, he told he can not open the device back panel. The device is working either in the USB data mode or wi fi data mode (if you are using data through USB port, wi fi is turned off). Can use in any USB power port like mobile charger USB port, car stereo USB port, home theater USB port, LED TV USB port, when plugged in these ports, the device starts transmitting wi fi automatically. Wi Fi will get upto 20 meter range.

  2. MTS started the sale of Wi FI enabled "REV.B" dongles in Kerala, named as "MBlaze WI FI". Now only post paid users will get "REV.B" 9.8Mbps speed. (Pre paid schemes are there, but they will get only "REV.A" 3.1 Mbps speed with these data cards). My cousin bought one. Rs. 2000 as dongle cost and monthly rental Rs. 724 + tax for 12 GB "REV.B" then unlimited in 1x speed. He told me this price is an introductory offer, actual price is Rs 2299 and Rs. 799 + tax. His dongle is not activated and will take 5 days to activate.

  3. It is confirmed that MTS is not going to launch LTE, instead they are going to launch "EVDO RevB" in all the present circles. Heard that it is easy to upgrade to "RevB" from "EVDO RevA", only a few additional equipments and software upgrade is required. So they can save money and time. LTE BTS equipments are very costly and requires more time to install. More over MTS has work experience in "EVDO RevB" technology in Rajastan. Now they have 3 carrier in each circles, 1st carrier can be used for 1x, second carrier for RevA and 3rd carrier can be used for RevB. Web page response time will be decreased to 50% while using these 3 carriers.

  4. About 2 - 3 years back I have seen an advertisement in olx that free Internet is possible in Virgin mobile CDMA. I contacted that seller through phone and he told that he will give a software and install that software in Windows XP computer, then I can use Internet free using a unlocked CDMA datacard or unlocked CDMA phone with Virgin CDMA SIM. As my OS is W7, not tried that software.

  5. Dear friend thackervijay, RCDMA has towers in Trivandrum (also known as Thiruvananthapuram), Kovalam, Alleppey (also known as Alappuzha) and Cochin (also known as Kochi, Ernakulam town). but no towers in Munnar and Thekkady. Munnar and Thekkady are forest hilly areas with small townships. Munnar has Munnar township and Thekkady has Kumily township. Idea, Vodafone and BSNL has towers here. MTS has a single tower each at munnar and Kumily. TATA has no CDMA tower here, Don't know about AirTel and TATA GSM here. Don't know about the coverage in Kumarakom. kumarakom is about 15 KM away from Kottayam city. In Kottayam city RCDMA has towers. Please mail me if any help required in Kerala.
