  1. :) Well do agree with ur comments. Lekin mein sirf ye kahe ta hoon ke, when u get a new baby, don forget u have old babies too. So don keep them on the street. Nahi to baccha jab chila ta hain to awaj bahoot dur tak jaati hain.

And what you want to say who paid PDC, 21000 downpayment are fools?

    :help:

  2. :) Yeah Dhiren, that's what I told that picture will change in prepaid market after RIM entry. But don make ppl fool by giving ad like 3500 main 3240 ok.

& What is the use of free R-world for motorola C131 when it can not connect to r-world.

Now if you calculate they are offering LG 2030 @ 6500 out of that they are giving 324 x20 coupon free so according to them handset price is only 20.

Now what about fools like us who have paid minimum 3350 in start??? & think about those who have paid PDC ?????

RIM servics is good but they don't think about the old customers??

I think now I am also right?? :help:

  3. People are not getting fooled by Reliance this time!!

Yeah, no mega rush at any RWW, people are just waiting, so it is really a wait and watch scenario.

Now Lets evaluate the Pre-paid stuff :

They are not giving 3240 talk time on payment of 3500

They are giving 324 x 10 vouchers with Motorola C131 handset, (no R world in Motorola set)

Now out of 324 voucher 200 rupee talk time is free.

You have to use those vouchers (200 x10 = 2000) within 6 months and recharge it on 7th month else your credit balance if any out of 2000 will not be carried forward (Sick) ok one good thing is that you can get incoming call & sms till next six month so total 1 year your phone will be active.

Now, again after these you have to recharge your coupon within 30 days, no grace period like airtel or orange. No option at the moment like 1080 coupon can be sued for 3 months etc.

I think they will come out with other stuff once get set in prepaid segment. Lets see.

    COLOUR Handset in Pre-paid

    SS Camera @ 21900 (6480 worth coupon 20 cop. not talk time) Talk time 20 x 200 =4000

    Gtran Basic @ 12000 (6480 worth coupon 20 cop. not talk time) Talk time 20 x 200 =4000

    Gtran Camera @ 14000 (6480 worth coupon 20 cop. not talk time) Talk time 20 x 200 =4000

    Telson w/camera @ 23900 (6480 worth coupon 20 cop. not talk time) Talk time 20 x 200 =4000

Now let’s wait for some time and see what will be the next steps by reliance.

One thing is sure that due to rel. entry in prepaid market picture will get change soon.

Let’s hope for the best for consumers: we the people.!

  4. Got ths below detail from rel, website but they have not mentioned which colour handset they are giving.

    ---------------x

A range of handsets to choose from:

Besides the above models, our range also includes colour handsets with camera and a unique wristwatch model. These come with Free Recharge Vouchers worth Rs.6480.

The moment you get a RIM Prepaid, you get 10 or 20 Free Recharge Vouchers, depending on the handset you choose. The first two vouchers or first four vouchers depending on the handset are pre-loaded for your convenience.

    --------------x

Any Idea??? Have asked customercare, and they informed be there is a samsung colour handset priced at 7000, but for more detail contact RWW.

So hope to have further detail on the same soon. Will revert with the same soon. :help:

Reliance Info set to launch pre-paid services war

    Pioneer News Service/ New Delhi

The Reliance Infocomm Ltd (RIL), which is launching its pre-paid services on February 9, is set to start another "hungama" in the telecom segment with its aggressive offering. In a clear signal that it is readying for intense competition, the company is also coming out with a new slogan - Kya Aap Mein Hai Woh Baat! Mujh Mein Hai Dum - to publicise its pre-paid offering.

According to RIL officials, the company will offer a Motorola C-131 handset at a cost of Rs 3,500. In lieu of this, the customer will get a talk-time worth Rs 3,240 valid for a period of six months. If the customer utilises the talk-time before the six-month period, he will have to go for a recharge coupon which will be available in all denominations.

The officials said that after the expiry of the talk-time, the grace period for recharging the coupon will be six months, during which incoming calls and short messages can be received by the customer.

The tariff for the most competitive domestic long distance segment will be the same as for the post-paid services with outgoing calls within a circle costing Rs 2.49 per minute and outside a circle at Rs 2.99 per minute. Normally GSM cellular service providers charge this amount for their post-paid services with pre-paid charges being a little higher.

Apart from Motorola, Reliance will also provide LG handsets, but this will come at a higher cost of Rs 6,480 with talk-time worth Rs 6,460 and grace period remaining six months.

Analysts said that the pre-paid offering by the company is likely to repeat a "hungama", which happened when it launched its Monsoon Hungama scheme last year for a mere Rs 500. The response was so heavy that the company ran out of handsets and had to stop bookings for a certain period of time.

Analysts also said that the Reliance offering will start another tariff war in the pre-paid mobile segment. In the past month, major GSM cellular operators like Bharti and Hutch launched the entry-level recharge coupon for as low as Rs 50 to pre-empt Reliance's move.

For the industry, the pre-paid segment means a lot as about 80 per cent subscribers are here. This is the segment which has the maximum potential to grow. Reliance's entry into the mobile segment in December 2002 had signalled the first tariff war with GSM cellular operators slashing tariffs, thereby making the present rates the lowest possible.

  7. Hey I will not recommend anybody who wants to take TATA for tariff, coz TATA is not properly set yet. No signal, lots of problem. I think RIM has improved really well and I give full marks to them atleast for their Network. I think RIM is the only service provider who has done job really fast. I had problem with BPL, Airtel they took more time to settled compare to RIM.

So ppl. who just want to switch to tata for tarrif will face really a big prob. I better say if you are still interested better check with other Indicom user n then only try. :D

  8. :D Just got details frm one retailoutlet that you have to pay Rs.3500/- for rel prepaid you will get motorola 131 handset along with Rs.3240/- talk time free till 6 month. Prices are same as per other gsm prepaid 2.49 & 2.99. I am not sure about the tariff as retailer do not have any brochure with him. But you have to pay only 3500 and you are getting 3240 talk time free that is sure retailer told me.

Motorola 131, handset looks good and waiting for some detail on that will revert with the same asa i will have some info.

  9. :D I know that you get LG RD 7130 at 5000 but you have to pay additional 300 per month and 300 x 12 = 3600 x 3 = 10800 + 5000 = 15800 (+3350) I am ready for that also but - You get Samsung C-100 at 8000 with Bill my dear.

And what about the 3350 paid to reliance for B&W handset??

When I asked RIM Webworld to handover b&W handset they said you have to return all the item given with the handset at the time of purchase and when I asked any reimbursement you are giving for that. They said no. Coz B&W handset will not be of their use as they can not give it to anybody else so why they are asking to surrender all the accessories supplied with B&W??

Over all I feel they have to come up with some scheme for current B&W user.

  10. As per my Idea, if reliance has setup with LG & Samsung why they can't ask them to produce handset like C-100 (65K Colour+40 Poly Tunes+java game etc.) in CDMA format? C-100 you can get at 8500 with Bill from the market. Even LG also came up with colour model for GSM. So it's a question weather Reliance will understand the market picture or not, else will loose customer soon.

  11. :confuse::confuse:

Now days you get colour handset starts from 6500 to 10000 and such a variery, like samsung C-100, Nokia 3100, Panasonic G-60

Now this is the problem with you if you are RIM customer, you can not change your handset or only 2 colour handset option is there for that also you have to pay extra 5000.

I think Reliance should provide more colour handset with budget price structure.
