  6. All About Nokia 6255

I tried deleting the jars which i copied from pc. I'm able to delete other stuff like downloaded wallpapers and ringtones. And whatever jars i copy, mobimb shows the size as 0 kb One more thing that i found out (donno if its specific to my cell only): If i try to play the games immed after copying them to my phone, it works fine for the 1st time and then it greys out. And i'm not able to open or delete them either . I have to restart the phone atleast once after installing any jars for them to function properly or to delete them. This has to be done b4 opening any newly installed jar. So if somebody is facing the same issue, this is how you sould go about it. Cheers.
  7. All About Nokia 6255

The above sentence is confusing I guess u meant that u dont want to use pc but directly want to transfer images from one card to another using some card reader:quest: Well, i dont know of any such device. Any one can help him out? Btw, even if u happen to get such a thing, you will still face the issue of image size coz afaik, any digicam shoots at atleast 1024x800 and noway such an image will fit into ur mobile screen. Ofcourse if u just want to use ur mobile mmc as an additional storage then its a diff issue.
  8. All About Nokia 6255

For all practical purposes, yes. You will need a multiple card reader and plug in both cards in the respective slots. It will show up as two different removable drives in ur pc. Now simply copy/paste as u normally do for ur hard disk/floppy. But i really doubt if ur digicam pics will be properly visible in ur cell becoz of size constraint. so what i suggest is, copy the pics from ur cam, resize them to 120x160 (use irfan view--best free editor/viewer i've come across) and then copy them to ur mmc. Bingo! u r done.

I've been using 6255 for over a month now and being a dapo customer, talk for long durations. But my cell never gets heated(definately not as much as my prev 2030). Infact only time it gets heated is while playing games for long. 6255 rocks!! All u 6130 guys, its time to switch PS- sorry for off-topic post but i was just replying to prev post

  11. All About Nokia 6255

Hi all, Sorry if i'm posting it in wrong topic but i couldnt find the approp thread. This is regd Mobimb. I have mobimb v 2.4 and i use dku-2 to connect my 6255. But whenever i create a connection in mobimb (for dku-2), it shows Nokia rm-19 instead of 6255.And nothing happens afterwards...it stays frozen even if i click on the phone.I'm not able to proceed further. I'm using usb-to-serial driver for my cable and it is detected properly by my system (XP sp2) and also nokia pc suite. Pls help me out as i'm not able to install any apps/games. Thanks in advance
  12. All About Nokia 6255

Hi all, I own a 6255. recently i bought a card reader to transfer stuff (as i found it to b the cheapest option available). I have a query though. Is it so that one cannot install games by simply transferring jar or jad files to this phone? M asking it bcoz when i tried to open it in my phone it shouted back saying "unsupported file format" while when transferred the same files to my frns phone 7610 via bluetooth, it prompted him to install the game when he tried to retrieve it from inbox. and he successfully installed the game Please enlighten me on this. I know that s/w like mobi etc r used to install java apps and games. but for that cable is reqd. I dont want that. -Chits

  14. All About Nokia 6255

Hi all, i'm having some issues with 6255. 1. I'm not able to find out the individual call duration for the calls that i make. If i go to call history, all i can see is time of call and not duration. 2. If i want to set a customized ringtone for a contact, how do i set an mp3 or for that matter any ringtone from the media folder? It allows me to set only from those ringtones which are available as default. Any help wud b greatly appreciated. TIA. << Topic Merged >>
