  1. Just received RCOM.s reply to my email:

    Dear Customer,

In response to your mail received at Customer Care, please note that recharges with multiple vouchers of different/same denominations then the tariff plan will be applicable of the last voucher recharged in the account.

Note: The validity period will be of the voucher, which had the highest number of days. If the validity of new RCV extends beyond the current RCV validity date, then the new RCV validity period will apply.

Alternatively, if your new RCV validity expires before the expiry of the old RCV, then validity period of the old RCV will continue.

For e.g.: If 149 RCV is recharged first followed by RCV 215, then the voucher having the highest validity will be applicable to the customers account. The tariff of RCV 215 will be applicable for only 14 days, post which Freedom tariff will be applicable. Outgoing calls would be allowed till balance exists.

  2. Thanks Dhiraj and Rao garu. But I would prefer that the condition of recharging every six month does not apply to me, as I have almost 1400 already in my balance.

And this is the Core balance, not promotional Mr Rao. The promotional balance was over. (In 2007, they charges 1947, with 1947 as the main balance, and 60 as promotional balance for 60 months validity). I think that the suggestion to send an email to ADAG is better, as I feel it is an unnecessary injustice to me if I am forced to recahrge every six months, at least till 2012.

  3. I have a query as I could not get satisfactory response from CCs, receiving two different versions. I have a prepaid number with 5 years validity (remember the 2007 Independence Day offer, 2007 talk time, 60 months validity. Still half the talk time is left out, if I switch to the new Rs 48 (Simple), what would happen to my five years validity. Do I still have to recahrge for Rs 200 every six months? Will my talk time of Rs 13xx will remain (two CC's agreed that it will). Or in my case, it will be treated only as a Sp. teriff voucher? Any help?

  4. *333 itself offers to give unbilled usage. The IVR says Press 1 for billing information, then again Press 1 for unbilled amount. Thus when *333 is connected, press '1' twice and you would know the latest unbilled (but as on the previous date, 12 midnight of the current date.

  5. @CDM. By good plan I meant better and cheaper talks wmongst reliance as I mentioned that we are 7-8 reliance members in a family.

@maksri. Yes, wqhen I thought of NJ199 SOHO, I was told that on one hand the other connection too had to have a rental exceeding 199, or the same SOHO plan, and later I was told by Reliance Communication personnel that this plan DOES not exist any more in A.P., and is only for corrpoate now, for a small company (real SOHO).

I thgerefore got a new Classic731 with life ttime validiy, added Rs 201 talk time and topped up with Jadu 49.

    Thanks friends for suggestions, anyway.

  6. I am an AP subscriber, based in Hyderabad. Almost all my relatives have reliance connections - 6 prepaid, and two post paid (one more besides me). Now we need to get a new connection for my niece, that makes 3 Post Paid connections, enough to form a CUG. But my problem is to select a plan for the new connection, OR change my own plan (Currently NJ275A in AP). At CC, I was given an impression that "Jodi Offer" is different from "Add On". My various queries perhaps confused the CC person, and her replies confused me. Hence this post.

    1. How is Jodi Offer is different from Add On. In one they say, it is Rs 25 per month rental, in the other, it is rs 50? If the rent is to be paid by me or for the new connection for my niece?

    2. If this rental is for one year, what about the rental in the second year, 13th month?

    3. The CC said that in NJ 199 plan, I can call all RIM phones free, that I doubt.

So which is beneficial for me amongst:

    Add On

    Jodi offer

    NJ199 CUG Plan

Or just a prepaid that already gives Rs 200 On net free for 3 months, and later can be activated with the new 99 On net pack. Please advise.

  7. I am wishing to migrate from postpaid to prepaid. Please guide whether I can use 49 STV alongwith lifetime recharge ???

    I am MAH subscriber.

I am not sure about Maharashtra, but here in A.P., Rs 99STV is permitted for Lifetime prepaid. With rs 99 e-recharge. You get talk time of rs 35 too along with the reduced tariff pf 50 p to local mobiles.

  8. Last week, I got my problem solved. With even the customercare@relianceada.com refusing that there is no way that I can get a Post Paid connection on the same LT Maharashtra number in A.P., and I had almost washed my hands with my old favourite handset LG 5130. But then a WW fellow whom I just casually asked, said tht thre would be no problem. AND HE DID IT. Without charging any extra money, he removed the old Maharashtra No. from the handset, and got me a new connection with AP number on th same handset, charging only Rs 330 as GSK, plus Rs 250 asreundable advance, th regukr for a new Post Paid connection. Only ting, tht I had to deposit the handset with him for two days. He could not do the same evening as I was call debarred by Maharashtra Reliance. Asth CC said, he had to get it reactivted, and then rmovedth old number, DEPROVISION it, as they say.

And now I have this NJ275A Plan tht satisfies to my needs.
