  1. Dear LTE4G,

First of all many thanks for all your suggestions. Have tried each and every one of them. But unfortunately Jio4GVoice still does not get online via Jiofi. The Sim is televerified for data and voice. Checked on a VoLTE phone.

Maybe the app is buggy and does not work smoothly with many phones. I have tried with 4 phones. Hopefully they will rectify it in upcoming versions.

  2. Why does a non-4G phone show Jio4GVoice always as offline if configured with a Jiofi device?

Have been breaking my head over this strange problem. This is after correctly configuring the phone with the JioFi number with OTP etc.

After everything goes ok, am finally stuck with the status always showing offline. Is it a bug with using Jiofi? Anyone has any solutions?

  3. Hi, Has anyone figured out how to use the MicroSd card option with the new Jiofi matte finish JMR520 router? I bought this new model which comes in a cylindrical packing box.

I logged in to the web settings page with the default "administrator" login and password. But the page is very rudimentary with no clear tabs to manage the wifi storage setting. Does it need a firmware upgrade? If yes, where to download from.

If anyone has been successful in configuring the MicroSD card with the router, please help.

    Thanks!

  4. Are there any non-Jio 4G router devices which can support HotSpot-ing from an unlocked Jio Sim? If anyone has been successful, please let us know.

And if not a router, which is the cheapest 4G phone (old/new model) that can Hotspot from Jio Sim. Apart from LYF phones, that is.

This will be good to know for anyone wanting to use the SIM purely for data connectivity.

    Please do share. Thanks!

  6. I can confirm that my Preview SIM plan has been changed to the Welcome Offer. And unfortunately, moment I crossed 4GB of data, speed dropped to a paltry 70Kbps from 15 Mbps.

I now have to check if the reset to tomorrow's 4GB quota happens at midnight or later.

Anyone who gets the SMS mentioning that the plan has changed to Welcome offer will face similar parameters. Maybe the plan change over itself will happen over the next few days so whoever has not been "downgraded" enjoy Unlimited till it lasts :(

  7. Dear All,

Does anyone know a reliable mobile repair place in Mumbai/Thane who have experience in handling our imported Verizon Droid phones. Tried & tested shop which doesn't charge arbitrarily high prices. Please recommend.

I have a perfectly functioning Droid Maxx which was lying unused for a couple of weeks. Suddenly it doesn't respond/doesn't turn on & doesn't even charge. When connected with the charger, a green LED glows on top for a few seconds & then nothing else. Have tried charging it overnight too. I really would like a qualified person to take look at it.

Hoping for some feedback & suggestions. HELP.

    Thanks!

I have updated 3 CDMAs to 4G sims in the last 2 days. The results are terrible. 80% of the time the SIMs do not catch network. Inserted in a LYF phone, in a Redmi phone & also in a LG K phone. All of them are catch signal only sporadically. Else mostly its 'Emergency Mode' with no calling ability on all phones.

Has anyone else faced these issues on the new 4G Sims? Is there any solution to get them working without issues? Data is a far away prospect. Just hope Voice & Sms work for now. Please help!!!

Just wanted to reiterate that this is not a network issue. Reliance GSM is present fully in this part of Mumbai. The problem lies with these new 4G sims which have been issued.

I haven't tried them in any dumb/basic phones. But in all the smartphones I'm inserting them into, they do not latch on to any network seamlessly.

I'm hating this experience as I have 6 CDMA connections at home :-(

  10. Ok Thanks sharing for the options available to me. First stop will head to a Rcom gallery & see if they can help me out. Though i doubt given past experience.

Just one question though. Suppose I generate a port out request & then my problem gets resolved in the interim, does that request automatically cancel itself out after 15 days if I don't actually port out?
