  1. Thanks Aalok! I tried with these files but no difference. I guess I am making some other mistake. I have : a. successfully changed ESN b. added MIN and MSID c. Changed the NID and SID When I dial, I get "To resume service please contact customer care" I donot know whats wrong here. Any CLUES?
  2. It seems my cdmaupdater with Reliance PRL file got corrupted. I tried to download 2 from the web but they do not seem to be changing the PRL effectively. Can someone pls share the two files: a. CDMAFirmwareUpdater with Reliance PRL b. CDMAFirmwareUpdater_enUS I was playing with 2 Treo 755p phones and both are now unable to work on the Reliance network. Appreciate help. Thanks!
  3. Managed to change ESN; add MIN, home NID, SID info on Verizon Treo 755p. (for Reliance) Could not find advance option in the menu of #*#DATA#. Thus could not change MCC. Current status: Phone connects to the network but on dialing a number says "contact reliance to resume service" Phone is not showing Carrier DB as 393. Could that be the issue? How can I change it to 393? I have already tried using switch carrier option in CDMA updater using Kshah's version with Reliance PRL. Looking for ideas. Thanks!
  4. I tried this but it did not work. By call button you mean the dial button on the screen? I entered ##8778 and then pressed the call button. When radio was off it asked to switch it on, when I switched it on, it died to dial the number but nothing happened. Am I doing this wrong? Should I try anything else as well? Also learnt that with Verizon ##UPST# does not work. But #*#UPST# gets it into bootloader mode. still struggling with ##MSL# and #*#MSL#

  7. Dear Muffadal, I am facing a similar issue with a new Treo 755P verizon version which I picked up for a friend. I am unable to get it into bootloader mode. dialing ##UPST# i.e. ##8778# does not do anything to the phone. Infact, ##DATA# or ##MSL# also does not work. While I have worked with two other 755p phones in the past, both were Sprint versions, and it was easy to get them to bootloader mode. With this phone, I am kinda stuck. Do you have any suggestions? Regards, ~
  8. Thanks Kshah! In that case I will wait for the Pre GSM version to be available at a decent price. I have tried Mogul and hated it (personal preference) and I want to stay away from BB. I feel that it kinda ties you down; does not offer the flexibility that one would like with the phone software. Thanks! And Happy Diwali to all! Cheers,
  9. Dear Kshah! Nice to see you hack the Pre. I saw some of your posts on PPCgeeks also. I am considering upgrading from my Treo 700p to Pre. One of my friends, coming back from US, can get one for me from Ebay (BAD ESN @$200 i don't know if that is a good price?) Have you created a guide on how to get Reliance to work on Pre? Else, could you point me to the best guide on the web for the same? Thanks!
  10. Some Questions On Palm Pre

Wow! this is very good news. So are all features working? Were you also able to get Data to work? Also, are you also using the approahc used by adactuslatem in Palm Pre Comprehensive Guide for switching carriers? Now I need to figure out how to get the Pre. ~cheers
  11. Thanks mufaddal_km, 2.7 is not useful for me. And I do all this as a hobby, I donot deal in cdma phones; and therefore would not be buying the higher version.
  12. a. what is the password to unrar? b. what version is it?
  13. Dear ACS, I read the other topic. Unfortunately, with my current level of familiarity and understanding the HSD card, I may not be able to help on that topic.
  14. if you have ver 3.2 or above, then please share. I tried with ver 2.7 but it did not help.
  15. Thanks Kshah! I tried this over the last week but could not solve it. I was able to change the COM port of the card to any one below COM6 so that trial version of CDMA Workshop would work. However this did not help much. I was unable to read the akey or EVDO settings. Lets see if someone else is able to dig it more. For the time being, I will not be trying this anymore. cheers!
