    Guys have you ever wondered that our mopho takes a while to boot up. I mean ppl with photon will understand exactly what I mean as our phone takes around 2 mins to boot up :ranting: with all the animation including the sprint NOW network screen, and additional 30 to 45 sec (user dependent) to load other programs.

    Now HTC phones like Droid Incredible, Incredible 2 and for the matter of fact even Evo 4G has an option called fast boot which if enabled will skip all the useless fireworks and gets straight to the point I mean it takes around 15 secs to boot up with that option.

    I understand that we do not have that option under mopho but come on guys at least we can find some work around here. With all my search all i found was how to change the boot animation :doh: So if anyone has any idea please shed some light on this matter that would be highly appreciated.

    OT :- Which searching for the above mentioned problem I cam across a video which shows an EVO 4G with ported motoblur and this ROM is called EVOLUR :Sorprendido: The link for the video is

    I dunno if anyone else has faced problem of youtube not playing in cdma mode all the time. In my case I found a solution for this - switch to GSM / UMTS mode and then switch back to cdma mode, and youtube plays nicely in cdma mode. Hope this helps others too.

    Even I have the same issue, good to see that at least I am not crazy! :Sorprendido:. I will try your method and revert back however youtube seems to be working fine with wifi. What firmware build are you on?

    P.S I tried all the methods like uninstalling youtube update and installing it back again. Restarting the phone. The list goes on.... But still it was of no use so quit using it over EVDO. Also while using EVDO the internet stops in the middle of your browsing session sporadically and you have to reconnect to access it. Do you face this issue too?

    I'm on stock 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6 and don't have any problems with evdo - the youtube workaround is working fine for me

    The method is for those who were s-off on 1.4, then they accidentally upgraded to 1.5.

    Others might brick while trying this method.

    If you're s-on and on 1.5, this won't work for you.The bootloader will detect that this is a hboot downgrade, and just ignore the zip file.

    Correct .- you need S-OFF to flash HBOOT 1.40 over HBOOT 1.50. The HTC Unlocked HBOOT allows you to flash a custom recovery and ROMs, but not overwrite HBOOOT. (HTC unlock doesn't give you s-off)

    Youtube app issue:

    Whenever I attempt to play a youtube video using the youtube app on evo3D ... "There was a problem while playing, touch to retry."

    All details and comments and video thumbnails are showing properly.

    But it happens only in EVDO mode,absolutely no problem in wifi,it even load a single second of the video. only you tube has problem in evdo mode, rest browsing or downloading apps from market has no problem.I am getting download speeds upto 1.5Mb/s with evdo.

    Any fix for this problem?

    Zero out HTTP / RTSP IP / PORT values, and then youtube works fine

    @neerajayshree you can call CC on 198 or *222 and put a request for activating EVDO.

    Reliance CC is a joke. :angry:

    Anything regarding EVDO.. they will ask you to visit Web world.

    If you insist... they will ask you your handset model.. if you say Samsung galaxy S i500 .. they will say its a RUIM handset so contact web world.

    If you say it's Imported Incredible/evo/epic .. they will say its not in their data base so they cant give any info regarding it. Please visit Web world.

    I spent more than 120 minutes talking to different people and even supervisors in CC yesterday. :cursing:

    Once a nice lady was taking my request .. asked my name, address, number, rsn number, nearest landmark.. etc.. etc... but the call got disconnected in mid of conversation :arghhhh::death:

    Good luck talking to CC.

    They will just make you mad :ranting:
