Hi, i got a Verizon Moto X , GSM is working fine out of the box, but if i use a Reliance CDMA it says no sim inserted , can i expect help and suggestions.

Get your MEID registered, Throwaway your Reliance SIM , do some programing and you can make data and voice work.
Buddy Motorola XT912 supports voice and SMS on Reliance CDMA , it has no data support as of now through its CDMA SIM.
Only Solution is getting your MEID registered, writing NV items , Some Abracadabra and Bingo you have it.

What about CDMA, will it work?There is a new way to use i535 on gsm. Revert to complete stock, root, unlock bootloader with ez. Download i747 ics rom available on xda without radio. Again, wuthout radio. And flash ion recovery. Bang, u have a gsm working perfectly fine. But just rmmbr not to update in future via ota. Currently using same rom on my vzw.

Javeed Sahib , it is a very good Tutorial and it is working wonders but i beg to differ and i want to suggest few things like:
1. APN name anything to whichever service provider you are hooked on to.
2. Numeric should be MCC+MNC ,Assuming it for Airtel karnataka : MCC is 404 and MNC is 045 so numeric becomes 404045. i have tried it and the signal strength for data is very good.
3. Again as you have put MNC for Airtel as 066, it is right in your place , but for other states it should be according to their states MNC.

I have the Latest New Model Of Verizon S-3, i followed Javed Steps and it worked , I have been using it for 3 days without any problem.I feel the settings are holding because we are hard-writing the APN through EF explorer and restoring the backup.
Hope someone solved the CDMA data to atleast 1X or 3G through a CDMA SIM.

Can I use my omh ruim in droid razr 3 or 5 without going to reliance web world and will evdo work on it. According to the post the battery is not removable. If the battery goes what should we do. Will it be available in India.

You just need to get your GSM or CDMA Sim cut to the Micro SIM size and start using it directly.No Magic or no Hard work required.
Also go to Settings and Select Global or your Prefered GSM or CDMA network.
Simply ENJOY

I am one of the first Android users in India from past 4 years plus , I have used almost every android handset but i have to accept that the Motorola Droid Razr XT 912 is the very best out there according to me. I have GSM+DATA, and CDMA only voice right now through CDMA SIM.

Yes you can get a almost new Droid-1 for 6500, and Droid-2 CDMA version for about 7500-8000.
It is imported from U.S so definitely it will be like new but there will be no warranty, but as far i have seen there are almost no complaints from foreign handsets.
And to ramtech, it is very easily available, if you need one , contact me and i will get one for you.

I would Suggest Motorola Droid-1 or Droid-2, both almost within range of 6500/- and it is very sturdy.

Kanaga Deepan,i have tried to get a simple solution for your Photon from one of my friend in U.S .He says always keep the phone in 3G mode(rather than wifi +3G mode) for normal use.If you want to download heavy date, then switch it to WIFI and after data is downloaded stop WIFI and put the data to again 3G mode, through this way the data network will be very strong. Again it is a suggestion , so please try and update.

Dev ,before the present budget the Customs on Mobiles was 2%, but i am not sure what it is today.Moreover the maximum customs you would have to bear would be within 500 rupees.So don't worry Cheers

Kanaga Deepan i have been using it from past 10 days , and i am really impressed about the quality.I had a HTC droid incredible 2 and a Samsung S2 , but this beats them.I have used it in a place where jammers are installed and it worked wonders.I dont know how but i am really happy with this phone.Maybe my handset is a FREAK

Mujeeb Rehman have you tried both GSM and CDMA, i dont think they are dual standby?????
And like you told the GSM signal is awesome and i am not loosing the signal or the call does not get disconnected in the weakest regions.
I am thankful for your info about this handset and to be true i took the handset by reading your topics.
Initially i thought let me take a chance , but when i started using it i am in the opinion that this is the best GSM handset available.

Thanks a million Dave, it worked, but the signal is not stable in CDMA mode. Signal is very good and strong with GSM, but in CDMA I am getting signal loss and disconnected often and i loose calls. Any suggestions.
