  1. Dr.Mufaddal, Thanks for your reply. Really appreciate it. But I agree with Parin that MMS service on reliance CDMA does work. Only thing is, mms can be sent and received between 2 mms compatible handsets, and both have to be on the same CDMA reliance network. This is what the custcare guys had told me when I received my connection. I use it regularly on my Nokia 6275 to send mms to another 6275 belonging to an acquaintance. But yes, I totally understand now that it may not work on an unlocked handset. I just have one more question. Hope you can help me with it. I do have another postpaid connection on Aircel. If I buy a quadband unlocked GSM Blackberry phone(like 8320),will BIS work on it? The Aircel customer care guy said,it will work, but I would rather trust the more knowledgeable people here. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for your replies, Genius and Parin. So as of now, an imported cellphone can only be used to make/receive calls and smses alone on the Reliance CDMA network? Can we use any other network functions of Reliance? Like accessing internet through Rworld etc. ? Please let me know.
  3. No, not really, Hitesh. I do sometimes send and receive images with MMS from friends who are on reliance CDMA as well. So, is there a solution to that? Also, do you mean to say that all the people who are buying the unlocked verizon/sprint phones here are using their phone only for calling and smsing? I would really like to know if that is all that can be done with an unlocked bb phone. Also, if this is a problem isolated to BB, then is there any other unlocked phone (HTC, Palm etc. ) which will enable me to send MMSes? Or MMS wont work at all on any unlocked phone? Sorry, for asking so many questions. But it'll only help me decide sooner. If there is an alternative to MMS, please let me know. Thanks.
  4. Hi guys, I'm tempted to buy the Blackberry Curve 8330 (Verizon/Sprint models), since there are good deals for the same in the Buy-Sell section. Only problem is, I would like to know if there is somehow I can make Reliance MMS service work on it. I'm on the CDMA network. I pmed Hitesh here, and according to him, MMS will not work! Now i really need the MMS service, as normal text message character limit is a pain, and I use MMS often for longer messages. Checking this section, I do see many hacks provided by good members here to make things work on BB. So is there some way i can make MMS service work on an unlocked BB 8330? I can gladly sacrifice BIS service, but I really need the reliance MMS service to work. If anyone here could help me out, I'd really be grateful to him/her. My purchase decision solely depends on the response I receive here from you. Waiting eagerly for your response! Thanks, Niharika
