  1. (NOTE THIS IS ONLY FOR THOSE USING THE STOCK VERIZON ANDRIOD BUILD. THIS IS NOT FOR THOSE USING THE CHINESE ROM WITH RUIM FOR CDMA) For those of you using HTC Incredible 2 and the Stock Verizon Android Build, and want the latest update from Verizon/HTC try this ROM: http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1392516 You will have to search XDA for the associated Radio Update (version 1.09.01.1111) (Sprry I lost the URL that I had copied) I flashed this Custom ROM and associated latest Radio software about 1 month back. I have had absolutely no issues with it. In fact the phone seems to run a little faster! Cheers, gjp
  2. You can also PM me for the Radio image. Regards,
  3. HTC Incredible 2 MMS Settings

Hi. I'm using a Stock Verizon/HTC ROM on my HTC Inc2. I'd like to get my MMS working. I do have HSD/EVDO setup and working on my phone. What are the MMS settings for Reliance CDMA? How/Where do I update the settings on my phone? Can I do this in EPST? Thanks, gjp
  4. Hi Friends, I have an Incredible 2 that is Rooted, S-OFF, and running Android 2.3.3. My Incredible 2 for the last 1 month or so has been laggy and running slow. It is now getting more so. Does anyone know of a good App to help diagnose what App or Apps that is causing this issue? Perhaps an App that tracks CPU usage of over a period of time? I've tried the app Usage Timelines, but that only tracks current usage and not over a period of time (i.e. 24hrs). Or anyother method to debug/diagnose the problem? I'd rather avoid the painfull manual method of deinstalling all of my downloaded apps and individually reinstalling them to find the culprit, becuase I have over 125 apps downloaded onto the phone. thanks & regards, gjp
  5. HTC Incredible 2 - Running Slow And Lagging

Thanks for all the tips. I think the culprit apps are either Lookout, Amazon App Store, or MailDroid. I'll use WatchDog (thanks Karthik R. !) to see if I can narrow it down. Anyone have problems with these apps? I hope it's not MailDroid. My Business email (several accounts) is hosted by Yahoo! Small Business Services and MailDroid is the only App that I have found that truly supports Push Email as implemented by Yahoo! The others (stock emaill app, k-9) seem to use a Pull method (some type of polling method) implementation for new mail messages when working with Yahoo email. Does anyone have a suggestion for another good email app that supports Yahoo push mail? Yeah, a lot of my apps are free-app-of-the-day from Amazon. I guess I may have to delete those and only download the games when i want to use them. (Luckily once you've purchased a free app Amazon keeps it in your account record even if you delete it for re-download purposes). thanks, gjp.
  6. HTC Incredible 2 - Running Slow And Lagging

@kanagadeepan That's interesting, I also have the Amazon App store app installed and have many free apps installed. I'll check to see if that is the culprit, but I've had this app installed for a while and the problem is more recent. I'll also check for bg-running apps. Although Usage Timelines (task process viewing app) does not show many... Thanks for tip.
  7. Hi Friends, I'm trying to use CDMA-WS with Touch Pro 2. I can connect to the device but cannot read the device. I believe the issue is that I'm using HTC Diagnostic Drivers for the HTC Incredible. Does anyone have and can share the diagnostic drivers for the Touch Pro 2 (for WinXP)? Also the Phone codes to get TP2 into diagnotisc mode, etc...? Also I need the same for LG Optimus S, diagnostic drivers and Phone codes. For the Optimus I've had no so such luck finding any Phone codes online. Any help appreciated! Thanks, gjp.
  8. Cdma-Ws With Touch Pro 2

Well, solved the problem for the TP2! If anyone has the Phone Codes (i.e. diagnostic mode, data, etc,,,) for the Lg Optimus S, please share them. thanks, gjp
  9. Hi Friends, I need your help, guidance, and directions. My brother really likes my old phone, HTC Incredible 1 (I'm currently using the HTC Incredible 2 and love it!). He wants me to setup the phone for him to use. Normally no issue with doing that. Here is the situation though, he is in the US and is using SPRINT as his mobile provider. Can the experts here guide me on what I need to change/setup/programm on the Inc1 to get it working on SPRINT (from use Verizon and Reliance)? Get EVDO working the phone on SPRINT? I only know the basic that needs to be fixed: PRL, phome ID. The Inc1 currently is: - Clean ESN (verified) - Rooted and S-OFF by Unrevoked - Running Android 2.2.1 - Was setup to work on Reliance with EVDO by MEID registration Thanks, ghanshyam
  10. Okay, based on the advice above for I got a Sprint EVO 4G half-working. I fixed the MEID and MSID (aka MIN) for the EVO 4G (taken from TP2). I was successfully able to get Voice calls and SMS working! But I cannot get 3G working on the phone. I'm not sure what the cause/problem is. I did call Sprint customer service and told them of having 3G problems and asked them to reprogramm the phone OTA the MIP. They said they did, but that did not fix the problem either. Any ideas or suggestions to fix the problem? thanks, gjp.
  11. Thanks for the info guys! I knew I would find the right advice here... @Dr. Mufaddal, I'll be sending you an email @ your gmail account. Cheers, gjp
  12. Yes, Clean ESN means it's clean for Verizon and Reliance, and MEID registration of would need to be done. But the Sprint CC folks are not very bright, so I was looking for help from experts here on Rimweb on what else I would need to set/change/program and what those settings should be. thank,
  13. Hi friends, On my Inc2 running stock rom gb2.3.3. (rooted and s-off) I am using an after market battery, Mugen 1800mah, and now the battery status indicator in the nofitication bar is showing a Battery with ! symbol. In battery status (under settings>about phone) is shows as Battery Status Unknown. Also, the notifcation light now blinks alternating colours of Orange and Green when charging the battery. This batter worked perfectly fine in my Inc1 with non of the above issues. Any idea what the issue is? Anyone know where I can find a list of what the LED Light notifications mean? (i've had no success searching online) Thanks
  14. Hi Friends, I'm having ROOT Access/SU problems. I need to change some files in the root/System/ directory. I have Incredible 2 with Stock Verizon Rom. I Rooted and S-OFF my Inc2 with revolutionary.io (http://revolutionary.io) and installed the Superuser.apk The revolutionary root process was successful and I got root access. I have Titanium Backup, Root Check, BusyBox Installer installed. All require Root access to run properly and they do. I installed Root Explorer today and I am able to change from R/O to R/W and back on the root directory. On the SDCard I am able to R/O and R/W as well. But when I go to the System directory I cannot change from R/O to R/W. I tried this on my rooted Incredible 1 and was successfully able to remount the System directory from R/O to R/W and back. (Inc1 was rooted with Unrevoked) Also connected to the Inc2 from my PC (winXP) via ADB. ADB Devices command shows my device. When in ADB Shell the default profile is $. When I type in SU I get back the "SU:permission denied" I do not get a prompt from Superuser on the phone to give access. This same problem with ADB I have on both Inc1 and Inc2. I'm not sure what went wrong where, since some of the root access is working. Any suggestions? Help? Thanks, ghanshyam
  15. SU access is fixed. The su version 3.0.x should be used with Inc2 on Gb2.3.x. If you are running an earlier version, upgrade the app via android market and be sure to also udate the binary files after upgrading the apps (to update binaries launch the su app and go into settings for the app) I has installed su.2.3.6.3-efgh which was giving me some problems.
  16. PM sent. I think this is the same patch/files as in this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1160745 thanks!
  17. I had rooted and used su.2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip originally, this is the one that I had problems with, even with updated binaries. I would not get r/w on system directory in Root explorer, or # in adb shell. I updated the Superuser (by cchainsdd) via the App Market to version 3.0 and updated the binaries seperately. This solved the adb shell issue. I can now get # in adb shell for the Inc2. I still cannot get r/w on the system directory in rootexplorer, this might be a rootexplorer issue or i may have to reflash my original rom backup and try again. regards,
  18. Thanks for the tips guys. I'll try 7zip. I was able to open the files with 7zip. Hopefully that means the files were not corrupted. thanks
  19. Hi Friends, Has anyone had problems with downloading the 2 RUU's that Hetalbhai has linked in the first post? I've downloaded both the RUU's twice now, and eaht time when I try to open the zip files I get a message from Winzip that 'file is corrupted' error while downloading. Then the zip file opens and shows nothing in it. Thanks,
  20. Is the SU.ZIP specific to each phone? Can I use the same su.zip for the Inc1 (rooted via Unrevoked) and Inc2(rooted via revolutionary.io)? And the su.zip is different than su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip file that I have alreadu flashed to the phones?
  21. Hi Friends. I recently, yesterday, changed handsets from the Incredible 1 to the Incredible 2. The both handet is rooted, s-off, and running the respective stock verizon rom. On the new handset I'm having problems sending international sms. I had absolutely no problem doing this before on the Incredible 1. I am able to send SMS domestically in India, within my circle and outside my circle. I'm getting the following error message: SMS Error: invalid destination or service blocked at destination. Cause Code: 98 Error Class: 3 When I googled the 2 above Cause Code 98 means Message Not Compatible With Short Message Protocol. Error code 3 meaning Operation Not Allowed (both these were from a GSM related site, http://www.smssolutions.net/tutorials/gsm/gsmerrorcodes/ ) I've tried using handcent, and the sms went through and recieved successfully. I've cleared the data for the stock phone dialer and sms app with Titanium Backup and rebooted the phone. This did not help. Any ideas what the problem or settings on phone could be? How to fix? I prefer to use the Stock SMS App that came with the phone, so any help is really appreciated. Thanks, ghanshyam
  22. Would setting my Increible 2 phone up to use OMH as HetalDP told in http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/32393-steps-for-converting-htc-incredible-2-into-omh-handset/ fix my SMS App problem? Would using OMH avoid using the build.prop ?
  23. Friends, thanks for all your inputs. International calling is active on my phone and I have made intl calls. I've tried sending international SMS with Assisted Dialing set to off. That did not help. I have not tried different PRL. But since it's working with Handcent, so it should not be a PRL issue, but rather specific to the Stock HTC SMS App? I've tried the following to send international SMS all have failed (i've tried 2 different countries): + for International Call Code 00 for International Call Code I also tried without any International call code. No go this way either. I even tried to send sms to India using full international call code, 0091-mobile number. That also failed. But when I send SMS out of circle within India, 0-mobile number then it works. It seems the Stock SMS App gets the issue when the mobile number is longer than 10 digits, 11 digits is okay if the leading digit is 0. I'd like to get the Stock HTC SMS App working because some Apps like WhatsApp, and services like Free Youtele wifi at airports, use the Stock App SMS App auto send and reveive sms to reigster their service with your phone. Luckly some apps let your call them (like WhatsApp) but not all will/do. thanks
  24. Sorry for the 2 threads. Since the 2 NAMS are different, and you said that all NAMS are the same, do I need to modify the NAM for my Inc 2? I'm guessing no, I should leave it as is. The NBPCD is set to India, and the Assisted Dialing is also set to India. I've also tried it with setting Assisted Dialing to off. Both ways I still get the same error. SMS works with Handcent, so I guess unless someome else has other solutions ill have to look at the file u mentioned. How to find it and edit it and then reload that file I have no idea how to. Any suggestions/tips? Could another option be if someone has an Inc 2 running Andriod 2.3 and does not have the same problem as I with their Stock SMS App if they could post it and then I install it on my phone via Titanium Backup? The SMS App or the build.prop file mentioned in previous post? Thanks,
  25. Hi friends, More noob questions from me. I have switched handsets from Incredibl 1 to Incredible 2. Both phones are rooted, s-off, and running thier respective stock roms. I've been having SMS issues (1x data seems to be working, have not tried EVDO yet) on the Inc 2 and never had any sort of issues with the Inc 1. I noticed the following differences in the A-KEY and NAM Settings (check via EPST): A-KEY - Incredibel 2 : SD_A is Failed and SSD_B is Failed for the Incredible 2, - Incredible 1 : both show no comment. NAM Settings: - The MIN1, MIN2, MSID, MCC, MNC, NMSI, and IMSI are exactly the same on both phones. ( I think they should be?) - The MDN entries do not match for both the phones. (Should'nt they, since I'm using the same mobile phone number?) - TrueMIN1: On the Inc 1 is equal to the last 7 digits of the MIN1. On the Inc 2 is same as the last 6 digits of the MDN in the NAM Settings (Should the both be same as the last 7 digits of the MSID?) - TrueMIN2: On the Inc 1 is 123. On the Inc 2 is set to 000 (What should it be?) - TrueIMSI.S: On the Inc 1 is same as MSID. On the Inc 2 is equal to MDN in the NAM Settings. (What should this be?) - True MCC: Inc 1 set 404. For Inc 2 set to 00 (What should this be?) - TrueNMSI: Inc 1 00+MSID. On Inc 2 set to 00+MDN (Should'nt this be same as the NMSI entry?) - TrueIMSI: Inc 1 is same as IMSI. Inc 2 is 0000+MDN (Should'nt this be the same as the IMSI entry?) Shouldnt all the NAM settings for both the phones be the same (7 of the 14 are the same) since I'm using the same Mobile Number? If there are problems here how would I fix the problems. Reliance customer care is NOT helpful at all. Thanks, ghanshyam
