  1. Hi All

I am looking for wifi router/modem for using with BSNL FTTH.

The BSNL staff has told me that the the equipment that they would be fixing at my place will not have wifi capabilities. I prefer a 300N wifi modem/router. I am confused whether I have to buy a wifi modem or wifi router. I will be looking to use this in my flat (more than 2000 sqft) and hence I need one which has good range and can be switch on for atleast 10 hours continuously.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I recently purchased G-Box Midnight Android 4 TV Box - IPTV Mini Web Streaming HTPC Player for 99.90$ from Amazon. Item is in transit. Once I received I will post the review. My friend is using this and said it is great.

The reviews of this are really positive. except that the xbmc is still in alpha state. It costs 10.5k in GEB. Contemplating on going for this if i dont get the G Box II which is out of stock. Do post a review of the same when u get it. :)

    Simple suggestion:
    • Avoid sticks/boxes with 512MB RAM (Micromax has 512). 1GB is available now on many at more or less similar cost.
    • Opt for latest Android 4.1 Jelly bean. Available on many and again at similar cost.
Having said that, possibly opt for boxes with more ports then going with stick.
Some members bought and using. The topic gives almost all info you need as well as you can buy if some member there wants to sell.
    Thank you :)

  3. just bought micromax from:

    http://shopping.indiatimes.com/electronics/electronic-accessories/micromax-smart-stick-android-tv-converter/40356/p_B1065300

use the JANJACKPOT code for a small additional discount upto rs. 500

lets see how it works on my wifi

Please let me know your review of this. I find this as a good one to go for.

I have been using 8gb favi smartstick bought from http://www.favientertainment.com/v/vspfiles/SmartStick_custom/index.html and I connected the TV with wifi and I also connected logitech mouse and keyboard with unifying receiver(attached to favistick usb port) and working very good.

where did you buy this from?

Why don't you use a Android Tablet with HDMI out ? I am using one similarly and the advantage is that you can edit easily on the tablet without mouse/kbd requirement etc.

Lot of tablets have HDMI out. In mumbai you can get them from veedee.in or you can buy many Asus and other tablets with HDMI out.

This is my last option. I prefer to use the stick

  4. Hi

I recently purchased a LG LED TV 32LS4600 link (http://www.lg.com/in/tvs/lg-32LS4600-led-lcd-tv) for my office use. Primary use is for staff to use during lunch breaks.

I am now contemplating to use it for business presentations and client meetings. Basic use is to show ms office, you tube and websites.

I have come across two or three options. I request people who have used/ are using these to give me their valuable feedback and to suggest the best alternatives.

    Option 1.

Full HD 1080P HDMI WIF Android 4.0 Media Player Internet TV Box HDTV

    http://www.ebay.in/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271019892699

    Option 2.

Measy A5A - Anrdoid TV Box with Built in WiFi Media Player

    http://www.ebay.in/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121010091455#ht_8457wt_1139

    Option 3

Measy U1A - Anrdoid Mini PC - TV Box with Built in WiFi Media Player

    http://www.ebay.in/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120991017193#ht_14481wt_1139

    Option 4

AMBRANE ST-11 SMART TV STICK + BILL + 1 YEAR AMBRANE INDIA'S ON SITE WRT

    http://www.ebay.in/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251188469253#ht_3432wt_1002

There are additional accessories avaliable with these for keyboard and track pad. Can i use Logitech K400 Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 (link http://www.ebay.in/itm/Logitech-K400-Wireless-Touch-Keyboard-K400-Warranty-/271134523492?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item3f20e08064#ht_5559wt_906) with any of these. The default ones that comes with these are not user friendly.

    Awaiting valuable suggestions.

Mods please move this to the appropriate thread as per forum rules if necessary.

    Thanks

    Arun

  5. ^^ need your feed on bat life and any lag in operation i am thinking of getting it for my father to read books Pdf and light surf net.

Also have a look at this two Ice Cream Sandwich Tablets for that...

Ainol Novo 7 PALADIN Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwhich Tablet PC for Rs 7,990 >> http://www.ebay.in/i...ht_16843wt_1139

    Ainol Novo 7 ADVANCED 1.2Ghz 7" Android 4.0 ICS Tablet for Rs 11,800 >> http://www.ebay.in/i...#ht_2024wt_1139

My honest opinion is not to go for this tablet. particularly for the seller "game_mastr". Most of the Android market doesn't work as the applications supported by ARM are not compatible with MIPS. And the scree clarity is not good. It hangs and force closes a lot. There is no support for the seller either. he never responds or responds only when there is negative feedback.
