  1. Reliance Jio is long rumored to launch the 4G VoLTE enabled feature phone at an affordable price as low as 500. A new report says that the company might announce the much-awaited device at the Annual General Meeting on July 21, alongside a new tariff plan successor to the Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer.

Could be a monsoon hungaama 😀

hey, did you try to gift jio prime membership to non jio number.

Nope i couldn't get it @sword2fish3 ,i recharged my two JIO numbers.. there were no options to choose additional connection. Also when i tried with the JIO number which i already got JIO prime no options were shown to get voucher.

Will have to wait and see. Maybe new offers could be launched who migrate to JIO April onwards..

  3. Now BSNL has launched new plan " BSNL Revises its Unlimited Tariff Plans to Match Private Telcos by Offering "2GB Data Per Day" and Unlimited Calling at Rs 339"

can be used on any phone 2G,3G,4G(this needs verification) but with a catch of 25 mins per day of voice calls

Looks like its worth to wait for few more days before going on for JIO Prime.

Are there any non-Jio 4G router devices which can support HotSpot-ing from an unlocked Jio Sim? If anyone has been successful, please let us know.

And if not a router, which is the cheapest 4G phone (old/new model) that can Hotspot from Jio Sim. Apart from LYF phones, that is.

This will be good to know for anyone wanting to use the SIM purely for data connectivity.

    Please do share. Thanks!

You can buy a airtel 4g mifi from Amazon india for 2.4k.

It's expensive compared to jio mifi but is not locked like jio mifi to reliance jio.

Went to reliance store at dc chawk sector 9 rohini in delhi.  They showed me only wind 4 and wind 6 and water series.  But not a single phone which is of rs4000 and said that they are available only online. Can any tell from where i can purchase flame series phone which is of rs4000 and will it will be able to work for 3 months on Hotspot as digital store guys where saying that as soon as we switch on Hotspot in flame phone they get switched off so because of bad response we are not selling that phone.

I'm using LYF flame 1 since 20 days 24x7 on hotspot with 4G always on, no issues till now. Except that the phone takes lot of time to charge.
