  1. I want to repair my LG E970 AT&T. When I tried flash via LGNPST phone won't wake up, it just blinks LED when pressing power button.

    When you plug the phone to PC, does anything pops up in device manager?

    I have a samsung galaxy chat B5330. I was working on porting cyanogenmod to it. The exact problem is I deleted all my bootloader partitions and anything else that was in the 4 gb NAND. So my device just is hardbricked n completely dead. I need this device up and running again. I know there's no other workaround than using JTAG. so help me. I'm in Kolkata.

    Hmm, can be fixed, find someone in local market if you dont want to ship.


  2. Phone: HTC One XL (Evita)

    Condition: Always taken care of properly, never faced any issues. Phone has never been dismantled.

    Will try to be as detailed as possible: Was running Paranoid Android 4.45 flawlessly for a few weeks. Latest hboot (2.18) etc. Phone was not charging over night - woke up and was checking Gmail and the phone suddenly turned off, while it felt a little warm. OTAs are not automatic, and not software updated happened in this duration. Wouldn't turn on, no LED on attempted charging, doesn't get detected on plugging into any computer.

    Also, not sure if this is helpful, but I have an Anker portable charger and that is most definitely 'charging' the phone. While the LED on the phone itself isn't coming on, there is an indicator LED on the charger that only comes on when a device is actually being charged. And the charger's LED goes off automatically as soon as the phone stops accepting the charge.
    Example: When my Nexus 5 is plugged in, it stops charging sometimes (LED off, on charger). In that case, I have to shake the charger to restart charging, which also makes the LED (on charger) start glowing again.

    Also, Seems that at least one other person has faced the issue I'm facing. Details about that instance and ROM are on another forum - not sure if I'm allowed to post links to the forum.

    Any recommendations? Pune contacts for someone who can help?

    Seems like a power IC issue, better show it to some local repair shop who can diagnose and tell you the issue. This has nothing to do with JTAG,


  3. I use to get around -58db EVDO signal strength at my house and most of the place through which i travel. Heck with -58db, i dont even get proper 1x signals nowadays, evdo is out of question now. Moreover, the speeds went pathetic, hardly touches 1mbps only in few areas whereas it used to be above 2.5mbps always. I have raised many complaints with reliance regarding this issue and nothing has been done yet. Raised a complaint one day around 10:30am and got a call around 11:30 that our team has restored the functionality around your area :w00t: ?


  4. I'm havinh limited internet connectivity nowadays,i will be able to help you tomorrow hopefully. Plug your phone to PC and check in device manager whether it shows up as an unknown device pr usb input device.

    As for the xperia, please check whether you can flash twrp. If yes, flash twrp and format the storage if it asks for password.


  5. That might not work since thr is no usb mount option i guess.

    Alternatively, since you have twrp installed, you can try the following method;

    Make sure device is showing up in adb

    -- adb.exe devices

    Push the favorite rom to phone

    --adb.exe push C:\blabla\blabla_rom.zip /sdcard/

    Once the adb prompt shows success, head to twrp and install zip.


  6. I guess I'm done with this PPO ****, after waiting more than 20days, finally when they have started shipping out the packages, here comes the bummer. Been getting charged around 900+Rs. custom for even a 20$ phone. I'm fine with paying these charges, but i also need to make sure that the duties are going in correct pockets. I asked them to provide me with BOE more than a week back for which they replied that they can only provide 3* BOE as per thr policy(?). Further BOE's will be charged 500rs extra for each shipment. Till now i haven't got any updates regarding the BOE and i guess i will not going to get them anyway as happened earlier too.

    I have created a shipment on 27/12/2013 in PPO account, and it was delivered at PPO NY the same day according to delivery status of the package on USPS site. The package value was 90$ and the seller opted for 50$ insurance, now since the have started shipping out the packages slowly, i thought i should just wait for them to forward this package too. After waiting for more than a month, i sent them an email regarding my shipment and got the below reply,

    Hi,

    We have not received any update from our US Hub regarding this package.

    We will check with our US team and will update you within 24 hour.

    I already started getting my packages with SnS, even if i have faced any kind of issues with thr service, Anuradha promptly resolved them out unlike PPO guys who only cares about peoples who have stopped using thr service for short period and call them to ask whether they are fine or not and when they are going to start using thr service again. My humble request to all visitors and members not to go with PPO service, since its mostly the same as SnS when comes to charges and worse than that when it comes to service.

When this situation happened back in July 2013, they started charging high customs on some of my packages for which i said that i will pay the duties but you have to provide me with the BOE receipts for which they assured me that will indeed email me all the docs. Since then i have not received any updates regarding this matter. As far as my understanding goes, this is both PPOBOX and customers fault, ppo guys should have been clear with the customs department from the start and thr clients should have been fair to the service. I know many people who import phones in bulk and undervalue thr shipments to save on customs. As per my understanding about the PPO scenario is that they never pays the customs, they are either bribing the officials or getting the stuff cleared by some other means. I have been always fair to them since the start and always provided even the order numbers so that incase they are doubtful about the price they can cross check it. If they are genuinely interested in solving everyone's issues, they should provide option to upload the item link with an attachment option to upload the payment receipt of paypal or ebay just like SnS. These guys seems to be loosing control of the operations, we might need some other alternatives now. Only issue with SnS is they have no control over the custom duties, we have to pay double the item price as custom duties in some cases, if this issue gets resolved by SnS, i m certainly sure that alteast 60-70% of the people will swtich to SnS.
