  1. I use HSG to import and my latest shipment is stuck in Bangalore customs. DHL is clearing it on my behalf, but they sent me a mail today saying that the custom officials couldn't find the IMEI number of the devices and could only find MEID and hence the phones will be held back. There is a new procedure to check the imei before releasing the phones from customs it seems. Anyone else had this issue? The phones are Motorola moto x sprint and Motorola droid RAZR maxx, can anyone please tell me how to check the imei on these phones so that I can tell the customs officers the same? Thanks.
  2. Delhi custom is always unpredictable,HSG works per KG basis. Sent from my Moto G using Tapatalk 2 Delhi custom is always unpredictable,HSG works per KG basis. Sent from my Moto G using Tapatalk 2 So, you are telling me i have to pay $24 for express for 1 Kg if i am using HSG? That can be used to our benefit, right? We can consolidate two items in one and we will still be charged $24 (cheaper than SNS per package) plus customs i heard is better than ppobox and SNS currently. Different views?
  3. My shipments also have sen a hike in custom duties recently, i use SNS and i received a phone with duties of around INR 5000 where as the invoice sent to them said the phone was USD 70. After talking to Sneha (Anuradha was not available) the problem again was the delhi custom officials. I had never got custom duties above 1000 when my shipments were arriving from Mumbai. Also i will be trying HSG this time and see how good it is, Will be using their consolidation service to merge 3 phones in one package and see if it turns out to be cheaper than SNS per shipment. Also i read few people saying that HSG charges ~$24 for express shipping for 1 KG? can someone please confirm if it is 1 KG or 0.5 KG? Thanks in advance.
  4. http://www.business-standard.com/india/news/egom-forto-50-cut-in-cdmaspectrum-base-price/498125/ the article here says that the cdma spectrum base prices have been cut. I do not much about it can some of the seniors please spill some light? does this affect the end user like us in any way? will we get cheaper plans? any benefit at al??

  6. HTC EVO 4G LTE on Reliance CDMA

i dont think we should expect the features of s3 jelly bean update in htc phones, i doubt if they will do that.
  7. HTC EVO 4G LTE on Reliance CDMA

has anyone tried cm10 on the lte? i tried but there seems to be a problem with the camera! it works fine without flash but when flash is turned on it just hangs! i tried t with both stock AOKP camera as well as 4.2 camera. is it just a bad flash or a problem with rom?
  8. Must Have Android Apps For Your Smartphone - Part II

    installed flipboard! awesome app
  9. hmmm as you said each has different preferences, i personally liked crisp and smaller text to big and pixelated one
  10. see the worst part was that evo 3d had a smaller screen and better resolution, and the epic touch had a way bigger screen but lesser res so the text was very pixelated! it was more crisp on the evo 3d! used both the phones so saying
  11. Android - CPU Governor's Explained

very useful info undervolting should also be considered by users who want a better battery.
  12. Best Courier Services in India?

i use dtdc they charge me 25 for in state and around 75 for national for just phone and charger (basically below 500 gms) and they do not cover insurance or anything so chances of the phone missing are high!
  13. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

its a major improvement over other versions of android! now i dont feel like having a company UI on top of android! the AOKP experience is itself better! its got everything you need and is way faster without the overlay
  14. HTC J Butterfly - 5", Full HD, SLCD 3, 440 ppi

this is the brother of droid DNA in the US and a worldwide phone called HTC butterfly it is up on their website now! im not a big fan of the back though i would have liked a unbody design with metal or a textured back. its just too plain, nevertheless its a monster! will be getting one soon, cant wait to get hands on the wonderful 1080p display!
  15. Reliance CDMA on Sprint Galaxy Nexus LTE

got yhis phone off ebay was using this till last month, an excellent phone especially after the jelly bean update. but the battery life is a huge issue!! and the sceen is not as great as HTC devices like the evo lte or one x the colors are just too saturated! all SAMOLED screens are like that i guess but a better build quality than the other samsung phones like the epic touch or the s2.
