  1. LTE band support and VOLTE support are two different things. LTE band support means data is supported. For VOLTE two things needed,

    -Hardware support from mobile chipset

    -Feature enabled in software

Gionee Marathon M5 has Mediatek MT6735 processor. No clarity whether it supports VOLTE.

Can you check in settings whether anywhere Enable VOLTE or similar setting is showing?

if i am not wrong none of mediatek processors support VOLTE.

and how many of those will work on indian 4g band??

  3. Verizon MOTO E 2015 XT1528 isn't unlocked for Indian GSM Bands

I bought 3 of these phones (MOTO E Xt1528 verizon) but gsm doesn't work in India. I tried Airtel, Aircel, Idea, BSNL, Vodafone. None of sim card works

Network App, 4G Lte Switch Apps doesn't work for Indian GSM

The problem is only 850 MHz and 1900 MHz GSM bands are enabled on this phone as per specifications but Indian GSM carriers use 950 MHz and 1800 MHz GSM bands and for LTE all Indian carriers like Airtel use 2300 MHz (Band 40)

I read on xda that GSM and LTE bands can be enabled on Qualcomm chips. I tried tools like QPST, DFS but none of them worked smoothly. I can guarantee that this verizon hardware is same as Global varients of MOTO E 2015 as all GSM bands are enabled on those varients

Motorola doesn't allow bootloader unlocking for this xt1528 verizon version. I would like to know if anyone got succeed with Indian GSM carriers on this verizon MOTO E XT1528

    what about cdma??

  4. Can the T-Mobile variant HTC M8 unlocked for RCDMA? I believe all the variants have similar hardware.

T-Mobile is gsm service , it will not work on reliance cdma.

Hello good people. I am going to purchase a LG G2 LS980 (Sprint Locked) for using in my country for CDMA network only. I am currently using HTC Desire 600c (609d) dual SIM (CDMA+GSM). Now I want to use only CDMA network which uses RUIM (Picture attached) which runs on CDMA 2000 1x EV-DO Rev.A 800 MHz. Will I be able to use LG G2 LS980 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-LG-G2-LS980-BLACK-4G-LTE-32GB-ANDROID-SMARTPHONE-SPRINT-GSM-CDMA-/111729098694?hash=item1a0392bfc6#shpCntId) right out of the box without any unlocking or mod? Many thanks in advance. :)

    -Rishat

Sprint LG G2 works perfectly fine on ruim , there is full post on how to make it work, search our forum.

It's better if you drop the idea of upgrading it to 5.1

Boost activation is required to unlock WiFi hotspot option.

Have you been able to unlock WiFi hotspot, in my case only GSM option activated, WiFi hotspot still not working. It's giving msg that you are not subscribed to service.

I just unlocked two moto e with boost online activation process , CDMA hotspot also get unlocked. While activating you need to select plan with unlimited access , there is per day unlimited plan of 3.xx $ select that and you will get fully unlocked phone .

Still in my case all cdma Sim didn't work.

do we need to actually pay the $ 3.xx ??

  5. it was some mistake maybe from my side due to wrong information entered by me now i am getting correct figures fdx Rs. 200 , armex Rs.190

edit: i got it, its due to dimensions.

do i need to do some paper work also?? i know sender has to pack the mobile, printout the shipping label and paste it on top of it.

mobile will be shipped from kolkata, west bengal to jaipur, rajasthan.

Not sure if Jaipur requires entry forms. A self declaration or invoice copy should suffice.

FYI i have sent a mobile with box 1kg for 120 fedex.

1kg for just Rs.120 that too from fdx great, its imported mobile so dont have invoice btw what type of self declaration is required can you please help ??

  8. You can try this option.

    1. Unlock the BSNL-evdo based dognle to work with reliance cdma.

    2. If 1 is not possible, buy such unlocked dongle (max 1000 Rs) for cdma.

    3. Use reliance cdma evdo in this dongle for accessing internet.

    4. Buy 3G router like this TL-MR3420 (http://goo.gl/pCbzKb) or DIR-506L-3G (http://goo.gl/FNL9Nh)

    5. User this router for the dongle & have internet on wifi for all the devices.

    6. Select prepaid plans from reliance cdma - rajasthan. 246 Rs - 3 GB, 147 Rs - 3 GB & son on for a month.

    7. Or select any other pospaid plans, depending on your use/requirement.

I have used this combination in fast & in Baroda, Gujarat, average speed I get is 1.2 Mbps & sometimes even 2 Mbps. I have tried both this routers & both works well. It automatically connects to net if connection is dropped.

    Hope it helps.

nice idea i will try option 1 & 6 and i will also try mts maybe they improved the network in my area thanks.

Wimax is a failure technology.. many using Reliance Wimax have suffered, which is why they shut down that business, to save whatever little reputation they had left..

Try any other WIRELINE broadband connection. Even the local cable operator should be able to give you one at a much better tariff compared to established players

Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

i agree with you even bsnl wimax also a failure if i am not wrong but in my case for first 6 months i did not faced so much connectivity issue, 3-4 times a day is ok with me.

i want to go with dsl/wireline broadband only but dsl not available in my area not sure about cable internet, i discussed with local people none of them aware of cable broadband.

    :(
