    My HD STB has finall died ( stopped working, only RED LED comes on). big tv at first refused to replace it, then they offered SD STB + 6 months free subscription, which i refused. Now they told me if i want HD STB then i have to pay them additonal 2000/-

    How stupid can they get ? I have an 6 months unused portion of my 1 year subs( rs.1600/-), to use this 1600/- i have to pay them 2000/- , i llas well dump it in dust bin outside anil ambani's residence.

    STB is their properly so you can ask them free replacement...

    Same thing happen with me on airtel after going over their documentation they clearly mention that STB is their property so you should ask them nicely first..

    After unlocking through simunlocker application logcat show that i have successfully unlocked the device..

    Now problem is that after inserting sim i get no signal bar and also when doing *#*#4636#*#* , i am not able to stick the wcdma/gsm , it always go back to cdma default...

    I can see sim apn when using apn application...

    What's the problem here...

    It's certainly impossible to remove Lcd part from assembly to change only digitizer..

    Need whole assembly digitizer plus Lcd combo to change it easily..

    I have change Lcd for two phone and it's pretty easy..

    Touch can be changed... I had done for g pro..

    If anyone is willing to import touch, i can buy 3 to 4 pieces.. There are many available in 25$ range..

    I have tried separating LCD from digitizer but it's glued and you can easily damage LCD ..

    Epoxy cracked means whatever the component beneath the epoxy was, got damaged. Thr is nothing you can do about it except showing it to some hardware repair shops who have the same component and able to replace it.

    Buying a Screen damaged phone from eBay can help ?

    Yes... But make sure only screen is damaged not internal.. And don't buy water dropped mobile..
