Lollipop does not need any tweak, Data works without any build.prop edit by default.

NV registrations have stopped, which means ONLY & ONLY old phones which have their MEID already registered Will work and no new phones, Unless you really have some good connections in backend of Reliance.

Sorry for my earlier post, Data Sms calls everything works on ZVG, it was my phone settings that were messed up. Please update.

RUIM data will work on ZVG update without any tweaks the only PROBLEM is no INCOMING SMS, trying my best to solve this issue but cant seem to get anywhere.
Anyone has any clues please update on this thread. GSM unlock also done using the same method mention on this forum.

BEFORE UPDATING TO ZVG, MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS UNLOCKED.
Backup all data thats required from the phone to your pc or comp or laptop.
Reverse all changes that has been made to the system folder, like build.prop edits or renaming of apps.
Then unroot the phone via super user app from the phone. SuperSU/Settings/Full Unroot.
After unroot simply reset the phone using settings.
Download ZVG update.zip from XDA.
Place update.zip in your adb folder, Run command prompt from that folder.
Developer option and USB DEBUGGING has to be enabled.
Switch the phone off, Use Power+Vol Down button to enter STOCK recovery,
Select Update phone from ADB. Connect phone wait for the drivers to load.
in command prompt check if the device shows up, adb devices,
once confirmed, run "adb sideload update.zip" and wait for the magic to happen.
total time 10 to 15 minutes. ENJOY.

I have no clue about US. I remember a thread for the same phone on XDA, search for it on XDA, in sure there is a solution. Or best thing is now you can call Sprint to unlock the phone for you.Vinod bhai
Need a favor, I unlocked my Sprint HTC One Max using this method and was using it with Airtel Connection in India. But now I am in California and none of US GSM sim cards are working on it. I tried a Metro PCS and a H2O card and phone is not even detecting the sim card.
Please help me in this, otherwise I have a unusable phone with me for games and music only

US has passed a new law. First find out if your phone's IMIE is clean. Swappa has a link on its site which can verify for you.

Data folder can't be empty. Maybe you are using a file explorer which does not have root access.Thanks for the reply. Folder data is empty.

You gotta do the unlock again. Copy the carrier folder on to your phones sd, root the phone, use root explorer to copy and paste the carrier folder in root directory, it SHOULD ask you permission to mount system to read & write, select yes.There is no property folder showing under Carrier folder. KitKat installed in my phone, Please tell me what i am doing wrong and where to find property folder?
Glad to see that this works on all updates. Do you have any solution for this problem? I don't know this problem is arising because of hardware issue or software. But i am totally upset that there is no signals showing in my phone. May be attached file can help you to recognized the actual issue. Appreciate your quick responses and briefly tutorials.

In KK the file system varies, so property folder values are shifted to a diff folder. DON'T worry about that.

If you have root access, then you need to delete a file, go to data/data/com.Android.providers.telephony/database/"telephony.db" -> this file, delete it and reboot. This should reset all network settings present in the phone. Not sure if this will work.Vinodji, Thanks for the excellent tutorial.I do all the above things with DFS on my LG OPTIMUS F5 AS870 android. Finally the phone get rebooted. Tried with Reliance and MTS cdma mico sim Kerala circle. SIM get detected. But always searching for Service. My area has full coverage for both carrier. Please help me to use this phone.

HTC M8 cdma sim works without data even on NV mode, maybe thats why data is not working, change mode to RUIM.pref

I am using Sprint HTC M8 with Reliance CDMA RUIM card,Voice & sms working fine but no Internet service on handset.
I am using RECRUC06 series Original Nano RUIM card & Mobile Android Version is 4.4.3 .
When i try to connect data on my mobile it says "Turning on " & i can see 3G icon at the top of the screen & after few second it show "Disconnected ".
I tried on all the Network Modes ,CDMA Only,LTE/CDMA & Automatic .
I checked this RUIM card on HTC 516C handset ,EVDO data is working perfectly .
Unfortunately I have not got any other Nano RUIM with DATA working to test with my HTC M8.
After retaining the MDN on Nano RUIM i tried to dial *228 on Sprint HTC M8, but after selecting the English option the call disconnected suddenly without completing the full activation process & Mobile restarted automatically & I tried this several times I got the same result & after swicthing Mobile ON I was not able to make outgoing Calls it Said "Contact reliance Customer Care" & I was not able to receive the Incoming also it was saying "Mobile is switched OFF".
I did *228 on Samsung Corby & started using Nano RUIM on my HTC M8 but Only Voice & SMS working,no data.

Only flashing firmware puts the phone into stock state and in NV mode.Thank you for this guide, I am curious if this process is un-doable or if a backup of the phone could restore it to the state it was in before following this process.

Reset the phone, you can use the 1 sec gap in between the crash. Or boot to recovery try to clear cache and dalvic, if this does not work then use recovery to reset, data Will be lost.

If you are rooted, install Shortcut Master Lite, search APN n search field, you will get apn settings editor, same for diag.

You can't updated if your phone is rooted.1. I was on ZVC and unlocked .. I get pop up for ZVD ,.. it says upgraded but after phone reboot .. it is still on ZVC and everything works ... Seems strange .. I think i deleted the bloatware apks and i think thts the issue.
2. After unlocking for GSM, my GPS is very to very very slow in getting lock .. has anybody seen this issue. Before unlock it is working fine.. so i dont think it is hardware issue. Any thoghts on this please.
Yes you will lose SIM unlock, but you can unlock a again.I am on Stock ZVC. I am going to use ZVC TOT through download mode, I came to know by doing so I will lose SIM unlock but can I use this method to SIM Unlock.

The sim can be cut into nano, but BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL USING IT ABROAD, ask them which International service this sim is tied up. Because if you use other than their tied up service provider then you will end up paying through your ***.
