  1. Thanks for the response.

This is my second sim from them in a month and both of them have been a white one. And Tata Docomo Hyderabad has only these in stock.

my older CDMA sims are of a different shade and they work absolutely fine in droid turbo.

Is there any other thing that I can do get Data working on this sim in droid turbo?

  2. Hi All,

I have a Verizon Moto Droid Turbo 1 which I purchased in USA at full price.

Here in India, I have Tata Docomo CDMA sim (have a recent/fresh CDMA post pay sim aka problem sim). With this sim + Droid , the Data doesnt work. The Tata technical team debugged the issue and informed me that the APN username is 000-000-0072@vzw3g.com, due to this the authentication is failing. Then they set the APN as well, but it wasnt using it, not sure why.

When the Data is switched on, the network type keeps going back and forth from Rev A to 1XRTT and finally settles on Rev A without the Data. No data connected symbol is ever shown.

Here are the tests that I had done.

    1. Problem sim + Droid Turbo (with or without APN) = No data
    2. Problem sim + HTC one M7 = Data works
    3. Other Tata docomo CDMA sim (old sim ~4-5 years old) + Droid Turbo (no APN settings required) = Data works

APN suggested by Tata Docomo CDMA:

    Username: <mobilenumber>@omh.ttsl.in

    Password: <mobilenumber>

    APN name: <anything>

Rest of the fields were left blank or had default values.

Other than that, did a factory reset too, didnt work.

Any suggestions to get the data working would be great.

    Thanks

  3. Hi,

I have an Iphone 6s plus - A1634, it doesn't recognize tata docomo CDMA sim. Its cut in to nano sim. Its not able to detect the sim and hence says no sim inserted. The same sim works in Moto x pure.

Have tried another tata docomo CDMA nano sim, even that is not detected.

If I put an Airtel nano sim in the iphone, it is able to detect the sim and shows the signals.

Any ideas what could be the issue?

The handset is not locked to any operator, it was bought at full price. Have used Verizon (CDMA) and Tracfone sims on it previously.

  4. Just called up HTC call center. They asked me to do some basic trouble shooting, if the problem persists, head over to HTC service center.

    1. Change ISO to 100
    2. Go to settings, Apps, All, Camera -> Clear Data
    3. Do Factory reset

Did all except factory reset, problem persists. Going to HTC service center tomorrow.

  5. Last week, I bought HTC one dual sim 802D.

In low light conditions, the photos are having a pink shade/tint. Is this a hardware problem or software problem?

I am on Andorid 4.2.2, stock, not rooted.

How to re produce the issue

"To see if your phone is affected, place the camera down on a table and see if the screen goes black, or clouds over with a purple or reddish tint."

Any one else has this issue?

HTC has 15 day replacement warranty, so I need to be quick if its a hardware problem.

If its a software problem, any information about this?

  6. I would agree with Jignesh. PMP has more value than ITIL.

ITIL foundation V3 course is pretty easy and there are loads of people having the foundation certificate.

If you are planning to go for ITIL, prefer do at least intermediate level do stand apart from the crowd.

I had attended a 2 day program for ITIL foundation given by my company. Didnt give the exam, as the exam was funded by my company and I didnt get the approval.

The trainer informed us that the foundation course is very basic and preferred for people who are just entering into the "Services" field.

PMP is also highly valued certification, exam is tough to crack. Once done, your value increases tremendously.

  7. Providing an update for the forum:

I am on Tata cdma network, Andhra Pradesh. I had ported from Airtel to Tata around 2 years back.

I am facing the following issue:

    • Call originating (incoming) from any other operator apart from Tata CDMA network has difficulty reaching me, that is the call does not get connected properly.
    • The originating caller does not hear any ringing tone, but the call gets connected and at the destination end(TATA CDMA), I receive the call normally, but the originator does not hear my voice. I am able to hear them properly.
    • Some times the call does not get thru and the orignator receives an annoucement as unreachable.
    • And some times it works normal.
    • The problem happens only with incoming calls.

Spoke to a senior technical agent in Tata network, he said, this is an switching issue. Faced only with ported numbers.

I exactly dont remember how the switching between networks is done when a number is ported.

Does anyone have details for switching for MNP? Is it still routed thru the home operator?

  8. I have a unusual problem my droid razr m.

Whenever I receive a call, the other party is not able to hear me. This happens around 1 in 5 times. Not a consistent pattern.

If I call them, they are able to hear me crystal clear. The microphone works fine for other applications like skype/line.

I am rooted and on android 4.1.2

Any suggestions to fix/debug such issues.

I have already checked the mic is absolutely fine. Voice recording works as well.

Searched internet, found people had similar issues, but no solution.

    RIM Gurus please help :sos:

  9. I bought a tata number just for the 94rs for 5gb plan (postpaid)... and the very first month got a huge bill... and was told by the cc that i used the high speed internet hence was not covered in my net pack...

I get very very high speeds at my place with tata cdma... so i am still tempted to try tata cdma if there is a proper plan which allows me to use evdo service with charges less than gsm 3G??

    Any advice??

Oh well... i am from Nagpur , maharashtra

Even I had activated RS.43(CIMO & WALKY) plan for postpaid and got big internet charge for this month.

    HSIA charges are very high.

Any other cheaper plan for using HSIA on tata docomo?
