Guys, I just upgraded from 2030 to 5340. I am looking for Data cable for this phone. Where i do get Cheap and Best I mainly require this to upload my phone book, which i took backup from 2030 using LG desktop. And also some Bitpim Tweaking to upload pictures and Ringtones.

Hi Guys! ( Should be calling Loyal Customers) Whoever got the bonus Free talk time (250 calls) for paying bills on time. In RD2030 To avail free calls one have to dial with *390 and mannually keying 10 digit mobile numbers or landline with STD code is real pain and remembering all those nos is more pain. Solution for this 1. If you edit your address book and add *390 against the any of the number, it says "Sorry it can not be saved". To overcome this issue just edit a phone entry add *390 as prefix to existing no then go to one of the "Home" "Office" "Mobile" entry and save. Your number is saved with * 390. 2. Dial a number with *390 xxxxxxxx then save it directy is address book 3. Phone book synchronization can be used (Though i didn't check this) HotGuy

Hi Hyper! RIM came out with a Bang with new features and technologies, But it is almost 2 years old and nothing new is added. Remember BSNL mobile is Just as old as RIM. RIM- Real Monoploy in WAP. They decides what u have to use or can use. U can't use any WAP services available in India or rest of the world. U can't buy/ donwload ringtones in a leagel way. It is real bad.

Ha, Ha, No way RIM can Dream about DoCoMo, What is the fun in using RIM with Camera phones, when u can not Send the still Pictures to others? DoCoMo introduced Video phones long back. RIM far behind others even in india ( Hutch, Now even BSNL offering Shoot and Send pictures) RIM what are u doing with superier technology?

For Privacy, better start sending mail in mother tongue that too not in English on your own script. Better CIA, FBI, IT cos recruit localites to translate messages or to insert Advertisements! More BPO works to India are anticipated !

Aslong as u r not sharing the phone with ur friend, who makes std calls then erases it, which he dialed or just make one more short call the same person to show u that he just talked less. :-) I consider usage minutes more important than others. The Dumpest thing in RD2030 is "Total Call duration" it shows all the outgoing as well as incoming calls. Even the timer starts when the phone ringing at other side. There is no way to check the usage minutes for DAPO users ( who gets 400 minutes free talk time :-) ) Do Some one can through light in this?

Hi Bhuppy! Being a Techi, I prefered to do e- Commerce or M-Commerce. I was doing this ever since they launched this. But there was some problem in their payment gateway so they deducted the amount twice i.e if i pay 500, two 500 would be charged for me When ever i complained about the "Charging Twice" they appologies and reverse the both transactions. And the amount wil be added to next bill So stopped using it, Now they are attracting it with some lottery offers But mobile commerce is safer than e-commerce as of now ( It all depend on your credit card limit , Hawckers always target Super riches, beware Ambanis

Actually All DAPO scheme mobiles were insured against defects/ repairs/ stolen etc. for three years. LG's own company warranty is for very first year. My phone is 1.5 year old so out of warranty and but applicable to Insurance. All the DAPO phones were insured for 7K by reliance. At the time of insurance the cost of the Motherboard of mobile were Rs.4600 and any change of mother board, Insurance co has to pay for it. So we have to pay at the LG service centre then need to claim from Insurance co at bombay. But if u are a busy guy or not sure whether Insurance co will refund the your 4.6K then pay 1400 for the circuit, which is the actual cost at present and walk out. Either way LG is benefited, but through the Insurance scheme he will het whopping 4.6 k per mother board, interesting! But Mother of all scam I found there is no problem in my hand set ( Which was not connecting to R Connect) It is only a cable problem. LG guy tried to *&^% me? Sorry for this i could not controll myself.

Hey! It is good old problem found in all the handsets due to caching the R-World Menus in the handset. To resolve this issue, Press softkey and select R-World menu, then Look for last submenu named "Reset R-Menu". Select this and confirm it by selecting "Yes". Hi Friends! last week i was surprised to see 10 digit number migration service at Rworld. All the existing numbers will be migrated to 10 digit with 93 as prefix. But again there may be duplicate numbers across india, since they are called with STD code at present. you have to check for the availability of your current number during migration. And aslo there was a facility to find the changed number by typing old number. I tried to change my number, bud didn't work I called the customer support and complained that i could not change my no. he said " Sorry sir, it was under testing and accidentally got uploaded into R-world so, Please ignore it" So Guys Be prepared to get 93 as prefix but no guarantee that you will get ur current number. Hi PhonePhrek! Go to Rworld menu in your phone and select "Reset R-Menu" This solves your problem by clearing the cashed content. And once in a week go to this option in R-World- More services-Tools- "Clear Memory". This will clear any cashed temp files from your mobile. -HotGuy

Yes, I used to access yahoo wap site, myyahoo.com through RD2030, but ever since yahoo and msn made tie-up with Hutch / Orange they want to milk money, which reliance might not agreed. So it is very simple for them to ignore the request from reliance servers. I even tried access wap.yahoo.sg ( singapore server) but same story now. And the downloading part, which other wap/GPRS operators allows are not possible here. ( Ringtones, games, wallpapers) I think Reliance is banning them to avoid mess-up. -HotGuy

I note something at LG service centres. When mobile is in warranty, they are trying to service it otherwise insisting on board change. That too they offer two schemes ( again only for DAPO) Pay 1400 for replacing a new board but no insurance. or pay 4600+ and claim the money from insurance company. Any way LG is not going to give any money to Insurance company. Since handsets were insured by Reliance. Public sector insurance buddys are not smart enough to bring down the claim cost, though mobile or any hardware rates are consistantly falling down. Looks like a Technical scandal!. But whoever tempted by LG service guy for money back by insurance. still waiting for their claim. Comments Guys --HotGuy
