I m using rge series sim n using data without any trick or setting. From day one I have just insert the sim n using data my mobile just like in any other mobile.

Mobile id of April 2016 india

inception is able to see his number as a regular 10 digit phone number. Vipin84 is able to get the data on RGE series SIM. Vipsy6 recommended to go for RECRUC06 series of a SIM.

    Vs.

My number is seen as 1986<my mobile number> (i.e. 14 digit number). My SIM is RECRU04 series.

It seems those who are able to see their number as 10 digit regular phone number are getting the data. And those who are having RECRU04 series SIM are not able to see the phone number as 10 digit regular phone number but 14 digit number. Hence they are not getting the data.

I think that RN3 doesn't have any mechanism to dial #777 to connect to internet. So an APN with that number cannot be created. If we are able to create an APN, we can give our phone number as username and password and #777 as dialing number. But that is not possible. RN3 is connecting the data without APN. To do so, it requires to know the real phone number and RECRU04 series SIM is not giving that number. Hence the phone is not able to connect the data.

Do you guys agree with this ? Can we have some evidence ? If we know the series of the SIMs on which people are getting data or not, we can prove this theory.

Which circle?? Please write circles when you post such photos

The SMS means that your 4G is activated and you should try and check whether your 4G sim is working or not.

We all are interested to know the circle that you belong to.

Just saw your answer just above this post. I am from Maharashtra circle too but I have not received any such message :(

  3. Can you post a screenshot after going to

About phone -> Internal memory (tap 5 times) -> Sim no. (where the reliance SIM in inserted)

I want to see the IMEI number and the phone number. My IMEI number is all 0 and my phone number is prefixed with 1986. I think I am getting the problem because of the phone number that I am getting there.

I just checked my SIM and it shows that it is -

    RECR UC04 9999 7xx OMH

Those who are getting the data, can you please check if your SIM is of this number format ? Do I need a replacement to get data ?

Keep only ideas gsm sim in the first slot

    Reboot

    Connect to mobile data

    Open any site

    Remove the gsm sim now

    Reboot again

Start phone without sim this time

Go to the about phone tap on the internal memory 6 times choose the network selection option for both the sim as the bottom last one

Then side by side check the imei no

    Sim one will be 0000

Sim two should be some number if it is showing the number you are done with it

Now simply put the  nano sim in slot 2 and reboot

    Connect to data

    U r done

    Followed the above steps....

After starting the phone without any SIMs both the slots show some IMEI numbers. Since last option is "Unknown", I selected second last option - "TD-SCDMA, LTE, CDMA EvDo GSM/WCDMA"

After that I inserted Reliance OMH SIM in slot 2. I observed that it causes the IMEI of slot to to become 000000 and the phone number becomes 1986<my-phone-number>. It also changes the Set Preferred Network Type to "LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)

    Hence the solution doesn't work

Can you guys please check your Reliance Phone number below the IMEI ? Is it prefixed with some number or is it just 10 digit phone number ?

When you tap on the internal memory five time just check the imei numbers of the both sims

    First sim is 000000

Second sim slot is some xxxxx if its there then simply get the sim cut to nano and put it in the second slot

    Data should work

Also select the network to the very last option network will also be stable

    This worked for me

SIM 1 is Idea. It has proper imei number and proper 10 digit mobile number.

SIM 2 is reliance OMH. I got it cut to Nano. It's imei number is all zero and meid is having 14 digit number where 1986 is prefixed to my mobile number.

    What do you suggest now?

  6. I have updated the 7.3.2.0. Still the Reliance CDMA data is not working.

In the meantime  I noticed this -
When I go to About phone -> 5 taps on Internal Memory -> Phone Information (of the slot where CDMA SIM is inserted)
I see that IMEI is 00000000 and
Phone number is 19869372 . . . . . . (1986 is pre-fixed to the mobile number. So the Phone number is 14 digit long)
Is there something wrong ? Because when I look at the same information on the GSM SIM, the phone number is regular 10 digit long.

  7. I compared Idea, Reliance GSM and Uninor prepaids in Gujarat circle.

There are many topups, recharges and schemes are available but I took only those which are meaningful and comparable. Here is the comprision

    Idea : Topup recharges : Rs.210/Value 210, 310/310, 400/410, 550/560

    Reliance Topup : 85/95, 200/210, 310/340, 510/560

    Telenor Topup : 60/60, 128/150, 168/200, 358/410, 518/628

Reliance base rate : 2p/Sec Local, 2.5p/Sec STD

    Telenor base rate : 1Re/min, 1.5 Rs/min

    Here is the killer :

Uninor : Tariff Voucher : Rs. 4 for 1p/Sec anywhere

Other tariff vouchers (All vouchers are compared on 28 days duration):

    Idea : Rs.44 (any mobile anywhere 1p/sec for 50days), Rs 27 (1p/sec for 28days), Rs. 178 (1 GB 2G)

    Reliance : Rs. 197 (300 min anywhere, then 50p/min, 1 GB), Rs. 49 (35p/min anywhere, Roaming free), Rs. 29 (29p/min anywhere), Rs. 149 (3GB 2G)

    Telenor : Rs. 4 (1p/sec anywhere), Rs 12 (1p/2sec any local), Rs. 18 (30p/min STD, 1st min of the day 60p/min), Rs. 43(30p/min anywhere), Rs 97 (1 GB)

Vodafone and Airtel tariffs and topups are similar to Idea.

Clearly Telenor has the best topup value and tariff schemes. But it comes along with cheap ad play.

The 2nd best is the Reliance.

  8. Whenever you call any Telenor number, the service provider penelize the caller by playing an ad "Unnatarso rupaye ke recharge me paiye unnatarso telenor to telenor seconds free....blah.. blah..." only after that it rings the phone on the other side.

Telenor is really inexpensive for calling. And I am interested in migrating one of my numbers to it. But the caller tune creates a cheap impression. I dont see why Telenor wants to make the caller hear its ad if he is not on the Telenor network.

Is there a way to stop the stupidity and cheapness ? If yes, I want to make one migration request from Idea to Telenor in Gujarat circle.

  9. I am try0ing to latch on the rcdma data i have updated the software twice.

Also the latest 7.2.5. But still no sucess

I have tried evrything even called mi support they are also clueless

I dont know when there will be a permanent solution for the data on rcdma will come but it should come before rcdma closes

Are other things working fine ? How about WiFi ?

If the RCDMA is still not working then there is no point in disturbing something which is working very perfectly.

On 7.2.5... Everything is working fine .. Calls /SMS./DATa..

Just put ur diamond sim on sim2 .. Nano sim ..

Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk

I think your phone was working with RCDMA data even before the update. So for you there was no change. Or did it start working after the update ? If it started after it then I would take a chance of doing the same.

  10. Currently I am on DSPPS99 plan. Earlier I got Zero rental as a retention plan but they pushed me to DSPPS99 after a few months. I am not making any calls from RCDMA but still I pay Rs.99+taxes/month for rental. Additionally, I use 700MB for Rs.49 plan for the data. I learened from other threads that people are still having SpecialDZero plan.

Can I still get Zero rental plan ? Can anybody help me getting it ?

  11. I am from RCDMA customer in Pune. Got a 4G SIM from Reliance Store. Registered it. Waiting for the activation. I called up CC to know when will it be active. They mentioned that by 21-May RCDMA will shut down in Rest-of-Maharashtra and Goa. So the SIM will be active before that.

Meanwhile, CDMA servies running perefectly without any hassles.

  12. I bought one 32GB from Olx by paying a preminum of Rs.600.

Excellent phone. Everything working fine. Didnt try Reliance CDMA because my OMH is a standard size sim. I am going to get the new 4G SIM today so will not try the CDMA mode. Wifi, 3G (over Idea) working fine. Net speed is excellent. Google account getting added without any problem. The phone is showing 24GB space free. I havent load anything yet.

I am waiting for the back cover and scratch guard. I will start using it after that.

    But -

there is a problem. It is heating up very fast. I havnt played any game. I made one call, Clicked two pics, played a song on speaker and on handsfee. Approx 15 minutes the screen was on and the phone was actually hot. I checked for any battery draining apps but only the OS took max battery. Dont know what is the solution for this.

  13. ^^^^

I know many people use both SIMs along with memory card. But It involves torchering the SIM card, memory card and hence the phone.

If you have dual SIM, one can use one SIM for voice and other for data from Reliance 4G. In that case VoLTE is not something essentail.

Qualacom maybe superior provided the phone is available in the first place :) Its a trade off between the processor and the luxury of having two SIMs and the memory card.
