Migrating to RGSM is completely different than upgrading to 4g. You have to do MNP/INP to migrate to RGSM and the plans are not very attractive too. Better upgrade to 4g and ur same voice and data plan will continue. You can use the 4g sim in normal 2g/3g gsm handset also if you dont want to use 4g. Post 90 days you will b eligible for MNP once again.4g will be launched very soon in the above 10 circles and cdma services will not continue there after 31st May. Only cdma customers will be upgraded currently. GSM customers will have to wait. For upgrade to 4g all customer has to do is purchase a 4g ready sim and send a sms from his no along with the 19 digit sim no. MNP/INP not required. LTE will b used only for data and fallback of voice will happen on 3g/2g automatically.
What plans are on offer for RCDMA users migratign to RGSM?
If the same voice and data plan has to continue, I would upgrade to a better data plan on RCDMA. That will ensure I will get 4G at cheaper than 3G rates (3G rates of AVOID). Is it time to upgrade RCDMA plans ?

So what do you want to launch in India furthermore ?
You already have RMN3 "Pro" in India..
I think he is referring to Mi Note Pro and not Redmi Note 3 Prime (which is same as our RN3). Mi Note Pro is a different model all together. It is available for sale through Aliexpress in China. It has a 810 Octa Core processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB ROM with a 5.7" 2K screen (2560x1440, 13MP with OIS/4MP cameras with a 3090mAh battery, glass body and aluminum alloy frame. Cost there is about 20k.
I was referring to news in Indian Express and other web sites. Tried to search the source but unable to find the release date of May'16. Maybe you guys are right that Pro is for China and Note is for India. However, 91mobiles reports that Note 3 Pro will be launched in June. It also lists different specs. It is not having hybrid slot but independent 2 sim slots. A price difference of +1K.
I believe it is a tactical decision on Xiaomi's part not to offer the 3GB/32GB model freely so as to boost the sales of their Mi5. Because I believe 90% of their Mi5 customers would switch to the 3GB model due to the fantastic value proposition.
If Xioami will not offer 32GB vesion then Lenovo K4 note is already an alternative. It supports Dual SIM and SD card simulteneusly and has 3GB RAM. Readily available online.

There exists a way to tell Xiaomi that, we want 32GB version only.. Once you miss the 32GB version in a fraction of second, then add all the 3 colour variant of 16GB RN3 and DO NOT buy it.. Let it leave the cart till the time expires.. By this way, we can give message to Xiaomi that, we will NOT buy 16GB version till you bring us the 32GB variant in req quantities...
But I am NOT sure, how many people will go with this idea.. Flash sale is HUNGER marketing and let us all convey clear message to them using their own flash sale drawback..
I am doing the same. Last time also I did the same.
But they dont make them expire. They allow us to keep them in the hope that we may buy in future
I had to delete them from the cart just a day before the last flash sell.
Just wait for 2-3 weeks, this will be in open sale even with 32 gb. Further 2-3 weeks and there will be discount as well.
The companies want to make us impatient by falsh sale mode. We must defer our purchasing in flash sale.
Yes. Because in May '16 they are coming with Redmi Note 3 Pro.

All 3 colors of 16Gb in my cart.
Couldnt get the 32GB version again. Will try next week.
-
16GB is still in my cart. But I want to buy the 32GB version. It is not available. Not even in the next flash sell.
Dont want to pay premium also. If I will not get 32GB then will go for Lenovo K4 note. Anyway we all have to migrate out of RCDMA.

I flashed QCN file and problem is solved.
There was no need for MACD.
-
As per CC, after applying MACD, the phone should detect the OMH SIM.

I have Lenovo A820e, which is a CDMA + GSM.
During the last one and half year it was a delight to have the phone. It was working fine with custom ROM without any problem. 3 days ago, I did factory-reset the phone and changed the ROM. For few minutes everything was normal. But after that it stopped recognizing OMH Sim. I reflashed the earlier ROM but in vain. GSM is still working fine on the same phone. My OMH sim is still working fine on age old LG RD3610.
I went to a Reliance Mobile Store. The person on the counter gave me his OMH Sim which I inserted in my mobile but the mobile still showed "SIM Deactivated". I inserted my sim in his mobile and it was working fine.
Then I showed the phone to local repairer, who seemed knowledgeable, refused to repair the mobile saying it had problem with MEID. I checked the MEID with DFS. When there is no SIM in the phone, DFS read correct MEID. When the SIM is inserted, the MEID is different. So I contacted our rimwebian Kanishk (JTag fame), he told me that this how it should behave.
I contacted customer care and explained the problem. As a remedy he asked me to get a MACD applied on SIM.
Guys, does MACD need to be applied on OMH ? I think, OMH should work out of the box.
Do you suggest any other thing that I should do to get the Lenovo read OMH Sim ?

Sakshat RCom?
Never expected such a prompt reply. Delighted.
Any approx timeline on activating the pact among tata, aircel and you?
-
Is this pact now implemented ?
Is R-3G available in Pune ?
If yes, I would get a connection in Mumbai to use in Pune. All other players are twice costly than Reliance.
-
That's correct.
I also got that message and my plan converted to D49. CC is saying that all DZero will be converted now.
I have no voice usage. I was on DZero for more than a year. Can any one help me to get back to DZero?

I think Micromax is planning to come with power banks. 2000 MA batteries would help them to penetrate in that market.

I m not sure how Jio would start it's service in Pune. There is a complete ban. Municipal corporation is not giving permission to eract, move, rise height for any tower of any telecom company.

On the sidelines, 4G from Airtel is available in Pune for some time now. Our company has tried it by giving it to few executives to test the service. The report was pathetic. It was tested in different locations and there was not a single positive response. Based on that my company believes that 4G is just a hype as of now.

Buy only body and don't go for default lens. Go for better range lens. U can exchange default 18-55 lens over the counter here not sure about US.

2GB maynot be enough going forward. Most of the high end phones are now providing 3GB.
Please note that the phone is a dual sim one by the way of a hybrid SIM slot. In that slot either you can have a SIM or an SD card. I am not sure to what extent one can stretch the capabilities of the phone with the 16GB of ROM where the free space will be even lesser if you install a 2nd SIM. If I have to sacrifice the slot by which I can extend the RAM then I would need more space.
As an alternative one can go for Lenovo k4 Note which is 3GB memory and 16GB storage with dedicated memory expansion slot and dedicated SIM slots.
