This is the sms i recvd on 21st

Dear Customer, validation of your documents for porting your mobile no 9313xxxxxx to Airtel has been completed and is being forwarded to Reliance Com (Cdma),Delhi

Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

So, your documents are approved and they (Airtel) are just waiting for the validation/confirmation of porting code by Reliance. By tomorrow you should definitely receive the "porting approval" message (Lazy Rcom staff still torturing people since they know that the code validity is extended till 31 December).

    Good Luck !

"waiting for response" - that is what my MNP status at airtel shows. Cant understand why Rcom is not releasing my number.

Today is the last day for voice to end :(

Did your agent/retailer select the correct option ? viz:- R-GSM for GSM SIM and R-CDMA for CDMA to GSM/4G upgraded SIM.

If so then your SIM should get activated by tomorrow (unless they have made error while entering data as when they were filling my online porting form they made mistakes twice while entering my number as well as while entering the port code which was corrected when I pointed them about the mistakes as I was watching carefully).

Manually redeem Rs. 303 voucher on the last date of current plan ?

Yes - but before the expiry (means on the last day when the current plan is still active).

I activate Rs. 303 voucher on last day of current plan what will happen to Rs.459 plan which is showing as upcoming plan ?

It will remain queued until the current active plan expires. (Jio plans do not get triggered if a plan is already active - it can only be activated manually parallel to the current plan if required).

RCOM.CO.IN is now mirroring the website of Reliance energy.

Seems Anil Ambani is trying to give electric shock treatment to RCom. :wOOtjumpy:

Update Sat 11:18 AM : RCom website is now restored & is not mirroring Reliance energy any more. (Shock treatment over!!)

  5. Reliance CDMA was my second number when I took the connection in 2003 under the introductory phase of 'Dhirubhai Ambani Pioneer' offer. Later I took one more number, then data card dongle 1x - upgraded to EVDO data card...etc. even took one 3G (GSM) sim.

I really loved CDMA network - low radiation, good voice quality, decent acceptable data speed, good coverage even while roaming.

Rcom could have survived with its robust CDMA network, but the decision of upgrading to 4G proved fatal for them as it not only just strengthened Jio but dragged Rcom to the current situation.

This is generally done by agent or third parties and not from Digital stores. My friend who did it through agent paid 650 and break up is ₹ 459/- plan charge, ₹ 100/- Prime membership and ₹100/- service charge or whatever you want to consider. I ported 3 nos to JIo from Digital Xpress and they didn't charge anything while porting. They asked me to pay after numbers are ported. Visit the gallery and ask them. Did you get any receipt?

I ported one of my Rcom number to Jio through Digital Xpress and didn't pay a single penny and later after activation recharged ₹558 (₹459 + ₹99) online myself through JioMoney app.

For the other Rcom number which I ported to Airtel, I paid ₹10 towards sim charges while taking sim from Airtel Store and later went to the same store and got FRC of ₹495 + ₹3.00, that's all.

@KAPILKDEV I have tried with your above method (switch account) but while recharge Jio voucher is not getting applied.

Also, does anyone know what is the expiry date of the 8 cashback vouchers ?

They are "Cashback vouchers" just like "Plan vouchers" and will remain in your "My Vouchers" of MyJio app till the number is active. :jumpy:

Jio wants you to USE them in the coming years and stay with them by the way of en-cashing vouchers (Marketing trick).;)

Who ever spent ₹399/- got ₹50*8 = ₹400 vouchers. Now to redeem these vouchers you should spend at least ₹309*8 = ₹2472 - ₹400 (50*8) = ₹2072 more. Well someone will say that you can also redeem it against ₹91 top-up, but wait ! - to use a top-up or booster pack you require an active base plan - which means another recharge.

I completed port out from Rcom to Jio but got zero balance (no data or voice balance) though I paid Rs.650 to the gallery fellow. Is this normal?

I called up Jio cc at 198 but they said they couldn't find any recharge in my number and that I'll have to recharge again. If so, what was that 650 for? Confused

Why did you pay ? while applying for Port in you don't need to pay anything. Did you pay ₹650 or ₹560 ? there is no Jio Prime recharge totaling to ₹650.

If you paid ₹650 then go to the gallery and tell him that the number is now active and ask him to recharge for either ₹459 + ₹99 = ₹558 (for 84GB 84 days plan) or ₹509 + ₹99 = ₹608 (for 98GB 49 days plan) and refund the balance.

Advise to all : Please DON'T pay anything when you apply for PORT-IN to any operator. You need to recharge only once the porting is successful.

Someone on other website telecomtalk has posted that.

He accidentely recharge 398 plan 4 times in idea.

and he got 84*6=504 days validity.

and paytm refund rs398 for one recharge, which accordingly to paytm was failed txn.

so we hope that other operator also help to queue up plan.

Seems wrong info. the person recharges 4 times and gets validity 6 times and gets refund for one recharge too - unbelievable. There is no queuing facility in Vodafone or Airtel yet.

I've been getting "No service" on my Jio number since this afternoon (Mumbai circle). Is anyone else also facing a similar situation?

Two other Jio numbers of a relative are also showing the same message. Both are fresh numbers got a few months ago (not ported).

Signal is fine at Mira Bhayandar, Kandivali, Malad & Bandra. But a few months back I also faced similar issue for few hours.

You can try switching off your handset for few minutes and then switch on or wait for some time and try.

Isuue #1. My parents have 2 MTS connection. Now we all forget the SIM cards were taken by whose documents. Can we port these numbers to Jio by giving probable IDs?

I meant to say a SIM was taken with my id, can I port to another operator by giving another person's ID?

Yes ! You can port to Jio using any aadhaar ID (No issue - verified by porting prepaid connection)

Issue #2. my brother has left India and requested for port out to airtel from jio before leaving country. Interestingly airtel sims which were given to him, are yet to be active and Jio SIM continues to work fine. Is Jio blocking port out?

Here the same question arrives again, as the Jio SIM of my brother lies with me, can I port the SIM to airtel with my documents?

AFAIK there is no known issue of blocking port out by Jio. Wait as porting process is taking time these days due to Rcom customers rush.

Further - if the Jio SIM is taken by using Aadhaar eKYC then I doubt whether that can be ported out using any other person's name/ aadhaar ID (Not tried yet). May work...

Issue #3. What are the dual 4G supported handsets available in market?

(airtel 4G/Jio 4G both access needed)

AFAIK most handset available in the market support 4G on either sim only - but some new phones are arriving with 4G VoLTE support on both sim simultaneously. Will check & revert...

    My Vodafone offers

    IMG_20171121_110121.png

Vodafone & others have finally realized that discriminating between 4G & 3G handset users is resulting into customers switching to Jio. So they have come up with these plans to hold back the customers who are looking over to Jio as better option.

Their pricing is totally dependent on Jio's plans and they have kept just ₹50 less than the amount required for a customer to switch or change to Jio.

For 84 days plan a new customer will have to spend ₹459 + ₹99 = ₹558 whereas he can get the same benefits for ₹509 while staying with Vodafone or Airtel.

For 70 days plan a new customer will have to spend ₹399 + ₹99 = ₹498 whereas he can get the same benefits for ₹458 / ₹448 (Airtel) while staying with current operator.

Similarly all the new offers are designed with reference to Jio's pricing & just kept marginally below Jio's offerings.

Jio's main pricing flaw is that who ever switches to Jio before 31st March 2018 will have to spare extra ₹99 for which the validity is till 31 March 2018 only and not one year. Hence, I believe that to attract MNP customers Jio will have to keep providing additional promotions to compensate ₹99. So some more Cashback offers can be expected from Jio in the first quarter of 2018.

yes, earlier date was 15th Nov. & then they later moved on to 20th Nov. But still unable to use them.

Go to MyJio app and select recharge of 309 or above - move to pay - on the final payment page while selecting mode of payment, you will see that - 50/- is applied automatically and amount to be paid is reduced. It will also display the number of vouchers remaining.

Jio vouchers are redeemable since 15 November 20 November (updated) whereas e-commerce vouchers are redeemable from 20 November.
