  1. Anyone knows how we can make the phone work with Reliance CDMA Sim Card. I bought a Virgin Mobile phone from Walmart USA and now came to India trying to make it work on CDMA. Though Virgin gave CDMA LTE network on USA but I unlocked bootloader and installed custom ROM to make it work on GSM network in Germany while I was on way to India and stayed in Germany for a week. All went well with same Moto E working with Lebara GSM in Germany and then after reaching India I inserted my Reliance CDMA card but still now able to make it work. I will put in points what all I have done so far Sprint has Boost & Virgin both with same ROM. So all mentioned ROM I installed was BOOST as no Stock ROM for virgin is available. Actually BOOST/VIRGIN both are same which I confirmed when I restarted phone and it showed the Virgin pop up software to activate phone. 1. I restored the Phone with Stock 5.1 (Surnia) ROM and inserted my old 2005 Reliance Simcard (manually cut) which showed network and did PRL Update, Profile Update, UICC unlock which went successful. Moto E 2nd Gen LTE manufactured after Feb 2015 have SIM lock which can be easily unlocked internationally when you on travel via UICC unlock method that allows you to use other SIM. Seems my phone is manufactured after that thus it showed all successful. 2. The only problem is when I dial any number the dialer flashes and nothing happens. It only allows *228 and the nice lady voice tell "My phone is already activated". I desperately want to see it working with phone calls. 3. I thought the problem is old 2005 SIM hence I bought new Reliance CDMA SIM (again manual cut as they din had Precut SIM). I again did *228 so this new SIM gets the Phone Number transferred as it was successful. It can also see the 3G symbol with exclamation on Network signal. I again tried the UICC, PRL & Profile Update but all failed with "Socket error" means no signal. 4. I thought latest Android 5.1 has issues hence I downloaded XT1526 Android 5.0.2 stock ROM from FILEFACTORY and tried but still the same dialer flash. 5. Some post suggested to get MSL code and unlock using the ##3282# -> EVDO -> DDTM to turn off which requires MSL/SPC code. I tried all possible ways on Internet and used MSL Reader, Installed SU and used Terminal Emulater to run "getprop ril.MSL" but all returned blank with no MSL code. This made me confirmed that no MSL is there in my phone and this phone is manufactured after Feb 2015 which has Domestic SIM Unlock policy and is open for international travelers. Can anyone suggest what I can do here to make Reliance CDMA network work with new Moto E 2nd Gen which I bought in Nov 2015. *#4636*#*# -> Phone Information -> Set Preferred Network Type -> Has All Frequencies available. In 2005 Sim it showed Network Type: 1xRTT In 2015 New Sim it shows Network Type: EvDO-rev.A Please provide me the way out.
  2. I recently got my Jio sim through my friend. he generated the preview offer code on fake imei as get jio sim on my phone was not showing up, he sent the imei and i changed my imei and received the jio sim from store. today I got message for activation of my jio sim but i'm not getting any signals on my note edge N915P so i tried the sim on my mom's moto g4 and i activated it. it works fully fine on that phone but no signal on my note edge. what could be the problem? how do I get jio sim working on my phone? i'm constantly worried about this as ever since i updated my note edge to MM 6.0.1 i sometimes have to network reset to get signals on my bsnl sim which i am using right now.....

  5. Hello Rimwebians !!! Good morning to All !!! Just out of curiousity , did any of our esteemed gurus have tried flashing the Sprint Iphone 5 with Reliance or TATA CDMA services ? if yes, did they got everything working like call, msg and data(evdo) ? I know you can get GSM part of the phone unlocked for international use for some 75-100$ and if got lucky from sprint for free, but really would be interested if this cane be done !!! Cheers
  6. For this process, HTC One Sprint M7WLS should be rooted and S-off. Google it for the procedure till here. 1. Open your favourite CDMA software and make the RUIM config as RUIM if avail 2. Boot the phone into fastboot and type the following commands a. fastboot oem rebootRUU b. fastboot flash zip CT3G_radio.zip c. fastboot reboot Link for the radio https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BylQ6RZ2mIP_UjBkcWd3T1lITFk/edit?usp=sharing 2. http://www.4shared.com/zip/Wh-_Fvsuce/CT3G_radio.html Your phone will detect CDMA SIM network upon reboot.
  7. Ok, so I got myself an MTS MTAG 3.1 (Huawei C8511)/(Huawei C8500S China Telecom) which was ruim unclocked but data incompatible for Reliance. This guide works for other various Android non-OMH CDMA handsets as well. This is for those whose APN list is not editable or custom APN cannot be saved.Tested. This is my sole invention and work and is not published anywhere else till now. Use is as per your discretion. 1. Make sure the handset is rooted and busybox and SU are installed and updated. 2. Open Root explorer and allow SU permission if opened for the first time. 3. Delete the cust folder in the root system of the device. This folder carries operator files, multimedia, operator apks and NV traces. 4. goto apns-conf.xml in /system/etc folder 5. Longpress on apns-conf.xml and select open in text editor 6. Once the text editor pops up, scroll down and you will see China Telecom, Sprint, Verizon, M-pcs, Virgin, APNs list. 7. Edit the first APN (default one) with Reliance APN settings we all know here. 8. Keep changing all the APNS till down with various settings. Once can edit the defualt value with usr=net/pass=net and the other ones with mdn/mdn combination. 9. Be careful do not put any extra space or delete any comma or double colon. 10. Click to save and exit, original bak will be backed up automatically. 11. Goto root using root explorer and in system folder locate build.prop 12. Longpress and open using editor 13. Goto ro.cdma.home.operator.numeric= ____ change it to 404 00 and ro.cdma.home.operator.alpha=______ change it to Reliance 14. This can be a little troublesome so bak is imp. Click to save and exit. 15. Reboot. 16. In some devices, the APN list in Network settings gets automatically updated, in some you have to put it manually but now the custom APNs will be saved.

  9. Hello gurus !!! First of all , HAPPY NEW YR TO ALL RIMWEBians !!!! I've been thinking of getting the latest superphone Sprint branded LG optimus G from US. I wanted to know if anyone of our estimated gurus have already got their hands on it and flashed it with RCDMA service ? If yes, is it a simple straightforward process or are there any complications ? As it has a qualcomm chipset, I'm pretty positive that flashing radio shouldn't be an issues, but just wanted to confirm before buying ! Cheers Dev

  15. Friends, I am in US for a short while (so makes no sense to get a phone with contract) and thought of buying a phone on ebay or Amazon. I hope to buy a phone that I can use while in US and also continue to use in India. I hope some of you can help me take a decision. I can choose a service from Verizon(preferred) or Sprint. I would typically prefer the following for the phone - 1. Ease of use 2. Battery life 3. Inbuilt GPS (no idea if RCDMA supports A-GPS, with inbuilt GPS can store maps and use them when not in network) 4. EVDO capabilities 5. It would be nice if it can talk to exchange servers for e-mail 6. Camera / Video capabilities
