New Lg6600

Recommended Posts

BLOODY HELL!!!

That's a GREAT looking piece from LG! Really good. Bluetooth, mp3, fm wow! and finally the screen is improved!

Only things missing are

1. Flashlight (Very useful in frequent light cutoffs)

2. Large capacity battery. Come on, even the rs.1500 handset LG3000 has 950mAH battery. I don't think this set will give great battery life having bigger screen n less capacity battery.

But hey, this could probably be best looking handset in CDMA!

What's the price? Around 8k should be perfect, given LGs low resale value.

PS: I apologise for discarding the LG6600 claim previously.

At long last, LG has come out with a real stunner. Good Looks, Performance to be reviewed. Hope it is as good as the looks. Good SMS store of 300 in inbox, 50 in outbox and 20 in drafts. No T9, though compensated by EziAbc. Hope it is WAP enabled as well. All in all, a fairly good looking handset. The price may be around 8k.

For some reason, i don't think i like 6275, specially because of the mediocre battery, heavy charging times, and careless attitude of Nokia SC to the buyers. if the lg6600 too goes on the same lines, then it too will go the same route of rejection (atleast by me!)

I don't think it is 3G phone.

Its not EVDO enabled phone, also very soon LG is also going to stop the prodcution of CDMA handset. They are very freightened with Chinese handset makers. So be careful while selecting LG or Nokia handset as in the near future their servicing will become very difficult.

China is going to try and kill CDMA for their TDSCDMA. GSM handsets has very few patents where as CDMA has plenty of patents. Though chinese too use qualcomm chips, they are really trying to push TDSCDMA to fight qualcomm.

My dear friends, I think the price of this handset should be less than 7000/-.

I'm using LG KG300 dynamite series GSM handset. I got this phone for Rs.7500/- with 500 mb memory card. Its specifications are : 2 MP Camera, FM with recording, MP3 Player, Bluetooth enabled, External memory slot, Inbuilt Pen Drive of 56 MB.

So with 1.3 MP camera in CDMA this RD6600 would be available at less than 7000/-, I think.

What's your say my dear friends ?

Regards.

well buddy GSM handsets r always reasonably well priced where as in CDMA handset prices r always high .. so i guess price of LG RD 6660 could be even

more than 8K

it opened for me, and nothing great in internal photos, just pics of parts used. the external photos file shows that the handset is metal finished. i think this will be in league of chocolate phone. if this is launched in 8k, then it's great price, but i think it'll be priced higher.

cons ::

1) No flash light ( No night photgraphy & No torch)

-> Missing really a nice feature

2) No MMS

-> missing useful feature for sharing photos/videos

Hope this could be solved by Reliance through R-World

Pros ::

1) For the first time in LG CDMA history it supports video streaming

source :: In manual, there's a menu called Mobile TV

In product note, there's a term called 'Streaming VOD'

Nokia 6275

OR

Lg Rd 6600

:P

Any Time Leaving The Cost factor and The Camera Nokia would be the second choice

+ Nokia

Dedicated Volume Keys

Camera Advantages 2 mp Camera vs 1.3 MP of LG

20 Radio Channels Vs 12 in LG

Flash is absent in LG

Biggest Plus is WEB BROWSER which is not mentioned in the Product note

+ for LG 6600

Dedicated Keys for Music, FM and camers (nokia has only for Camers and Voice)

1000 Phone book memory Vs 250 of Nokia

Store messages-300 SMS in Inbox, 50 SMS in Outbox, 20 SMS in Drafts - Nokia Stores 25,25 ,25

MP3 player skin with stop/play/pause, forward/rewind, play all / repeat all / play one / repeat one options.

Call durations may be checked. Not available with any NOKIA phone in history.

Slide Show i know it is not that important

PhotoEditor Lettering(labeling on the photo) is not available in NOKIA

I have bought this this handset yesterday. I got this for 7K INR. I found this handset as a very good handset. LG has changed the space key from '#' to '0 just like Nokia.
