Hello to everybody,

I am getting the problem on activation by dialing *228.

Actually my old mobile was out of working , so i went to web world and purchased a new mobile and told them to transfer my number to a new sim.
they gave me a new sim and did some processing on computer and the guy told me that i will call you when this processsing would be updated then you dial *228
, it will ask for language option den after selecting the language option it will tell you your number, just confirm it and your phone will be activated.

But when i dial the *228 , it is asking for 9 digit pin number.then i called to webworld and told them that it is asking for 9 digit pin number then they told me to wait for some time, may be the information is not updated at the sever, when system is updated it will not ask for 9 digit pin number.
but it has been 1 day it is still asking for 9 digit pin number.

Can anybody tell me is it the right process to change the number or i am doing something wrong or the problem is something else.

Thanks in advance,
Sandeep Kala.

I have done this many times but no use it is still asking for 9 digit code.

If system is not updated then who will tell me when it is updated. should i keep try in every 1/2 an hour don't you think it is frustrating.
Even Calling on customer care they are not tell me any information , many of them even don't know how to change the number to new sim if old mobile is not in working condition .they told me that they know only about GSK.How funny sound this ?

I went to the webworld again , they are saying the person who has transferred your number is not here so come when he is back.

Webworld is not too near to go there again n again.
This is just frustrating .

yes boss, 48 hours, should be an hour more, but not less, forget that I had bought a new connection for my office boy in jan 2006, the phone got activated for some hours and was deactivated after some time, it took me 20 days to get it reactivated, after I issued a legal notice to Reliance. Till date they not given me the reason why??

I don't think so for transferring number that much time need.

By the way my problem is solved.
Actually problem was because of that guy who transferred my number.I went to WW again and told that guy plz check once again in your system if you forgot to enter the details. He then checked in the system and accepted his fault that he didn't updated the details.after that he updated my sim details there and my phone get activated in 5 minutes :GirandoOjos:

Hello Everyone,

I am a new Reliance Prepaid user. I took the connection yesterday by taking a lifetime pack of Rs. 299.
My phone has got activated (looks like it, i can receive incoming calls!) but I have still not received the activation sms. can someone please suggest what I shoud do?
when I dial *228, they ask me for the 9-digit pin number. Where can I get it? Switch off and switch on the phone is of no help.

I want to recharge with the 496 pack, so I am waiting for the activation sms. I heard that if the lifetime is activated after the 496 rechargs, the plan lapses and I will have to recharge again with 496.

Please clarify.

Thanks in advance.

Does that mean, I can get the 496 recharge done now? I mean to ask... if the lifetime plan gets activated after the 496 recharge, wouldn't the 496 get lapsed? Then i will have to recharge again. I called customer care, but no solution.

just check the validity of your no if it's already lifetime then go ahead and recharge with the 496
but if the validity has not been extended to lifetime then wait till it extends
