Recommended Posts

Like Reliance, are there any service providers that allow people to use their phones as modems? I know some allow gprs conectivity, but as modems?

yeah many gprs phones support cable connections to a computer through which you can the surf the net using gprs. however the speed there isnt quite as fast or the price quite as expensive as RIM....

GPRS (hutch call is Hutch connect) cost 499 PM in ahmedabad speed really bad. I used it for a month on moto C350. Airtel 600 even bad. Idea - no idea.

If one just want to remain connected for mails etc. then GPRS is the best option. Most economical.

What about tata indicom? do their phone function the same way. Looking at all your replies, Reliance seems to be the leader in the pack, definite pay-as-you-use advantage to prepaid

If its the speed that matters and not money then reliance is the best among list.

If you are an average user and u just want to be connected to net

then GPRS would be the right choice.

Even TATA coudn't acheive the speed which they advertise and they are struggling with the launch of Internet Services.

So Reliance is the leaders when it comes internet on mobile.
