My understanding is both does the same thing.

This post has been done on Oct 23.

I think R-World SW developers are having good snore.

Hope they'll wake up and correct.

Still the option is present on both the menus. :'(

Day Two Of Digital Summit 06: What Reliance Infocomm Thinks Of SMS Marketing

Reliance Infocomm has a different opinoin about SMS marketing. According to it, marketing on mobile through SMSing and tele-calling for its clients is not as effective as other means.

Krishna Durba, Head VAS Business & Marketing, Reliance Infocomm, said, “There are two ways of marketing on mobile. One is push-based that happens through SMS blast on mobile phones to the subscribers and through direct calling to the subscribers. However, both the systems receive poor response. And hence, we are now more focusing on our R-World portal through which the advertising is getting more effective. Approaching through pull-based strategy wherein we highlight more about the sponsorships, advertorials, market research and polling on mobiles."

The typical age-group using R-World is of 25-30 years’ graduates and self-employed or salary class people. Interestingly, our geographical reach has been vast spread across the nation. The advertisers on portal and mobiles receive most attention are on the new product launches, upcoming movies and product information, Durba said. Reliance executed brand promotions of six different companies over last three months.
