Where did u get this from? May be these are the plans they formed before launching current plans..

Those plans will be for POSTPAID customer, possibly for corporate connections.

As this is having CUG facility and no rent for VAS.

I find it really hard to believe though.

The advertisements in todays times of india, bangalore edition, clearly mentions that Tata Docomo clearly reserves the right to modify the tariff.......etc. This gives me all the more reason to disbelieve the cc

HA HA. I posted earlier that tata cdma started with similar schemes and then it vanished. I am of the view that sooner or later do co mo will fall in line. Other operators are not going to copy it for per second billing. Virgin started with get paid for incoming but did any other operator, old or new, copy it? Its my personal view,others may fancy better things like say per character billing for texts- 1paise per 300 characters?

Also, when tariffs are bound to fall to 30p/min for local(Which I believe will happen ), per-second billing will become costlier. The minimum tariff will cannot go below 1p/sec which translates to 60p/minute. So per-minute will be the best.

call tarrif will surely fall by the end of this year to 25- 30 paise per minute faor local call, in this case per second billing will be costly,

same thing was there when tata 1st launched its cdma service( billing on per second) but tata had to withdraw per second billing within 8 months of launch as it was costlier due to fall in tarrif..

so even we can see per second billing coming to an end very soon, as soon as the call tarrif will fall

But still i will prefer second billing, over minutes, coz my calls are not generally of long duration.

or for long duration calls, i will purchase another sim(possibly prepaid), and use dual sim handset.

Prepaid card help me to save to only those calls whch are long duration

Yes, the cell info display is functional in AP too. They are broadcasting the location name of the tower.

B is just to know if it was min pulse instead of sec pulse

C - not sure which operator, but have heard/seen here

D is basic tariff of operators without any rate cutters or offers

BTW the same calls with MTS 49p/sec tariff is Rs. 60.76 whereas my docomo charge is Rs. 60.36, this shows mts new tariff is almost effective as docomo..

In my humble opinion, 60p/min IS MUCH COSTLIER THAN 1p/sec... Because NOT ALL CALLS ends in 60 secs..

It should be atleast either 40p/min to compete with Docomo's 1p/sec...

My BSNL postpaid Plan525 tariff is in 15 sec pulse and 40p/min for any local, that is 10p/15 sec... So far only this tarif will be better than Docomo's tariff.. It is best suited for both SHORT AS WELL AS LONG conversations.. For very long conversations there is CUG... But the catch here is Rental Rs525.. But as a heavy user like me the bundled Rs300 free usage(Local/STD), 55 MB FREE GPRS, 300 min ROAMING INCOMING FREE, 15p/15sec STD, CUG, 20p/min to 2 LandLines, VAST COVERAGE even in rural areas, prevents from choosing from DoCoMo...

But for all other users (almost 99% o total users), DoCoMos current tarif is BEST suited...

Its a cool plan - BSNL 525. I just jumped over it. But then I calculated for my usage. Apart from 250-300 minutes local usage I have 1000-1200 minutes of STD usage. With this plan I would cross 1200/1300 Rs/Month. I think, I am still better with Reliance 440 Unlimited plan where my bill never crossed Rs. 750.

Btw, when docomo will start operations in Maharashtra ?

Dear Mr. Shiva,

I would like to inform you that the STV 25 (Juice Up) is available as stated on the website. Probably the retailer you approached might not be aware of this. In the retailer SIM card given to retailers there is a sub-menu called 'SPECIAL RECHARGE'. If they recharge through regular recharge sub-menu it will be considered a talktime value since Tata DoCoMo E-recharge for talk time is not fixed.....you can recharge anywhere between Rs. 10 to Rs.10,000. So what ever value he enters in the regular recharge sub-menu, whether it's 25 or 75 or 777, it will be considered as talktime by the server program. So the next time you visit that retailer, please tell him to recharge through SPECIAL RECHARGE sub-menu and insist that if he makes a mistake, you'll not pay him.

If he says he doesn't know what a special recharge sub-menu is, then please tell him to "go to that sub-menu from where he does that Rs. 51 recharge", which every retailer does immediately after activation of a new number. I think you got this. Should you face any problem with regard to this, please feel free to post the same.

The third-party retailer segment is woefully un-structured and they don't present with any professional behavior. We can't take the word from such third-party retailers and mistake the service provider for that.
