Help Me In Deciding About External Hard Disk With 60 Gb

dear friends

i have enquired with a seller about the 60gb hard disk and was quoted a price of 1900 rs for a seagate one . is the price reasonable.is there any other good brand available at a lesser price for the same capacity. pl share your thoughts..

if its IDE than its supposed to be expensive. Just check that its new and under warranty. I have one 80 GB HDD (Desktop) of seagate under warranty (Got replacement just before few weeks for sale) If you are interested let me know.

I also have spare 80 GB laptop HDD for sale too.

Check out with Croma, Reliance Digital and EZone before deciding. Or better still go to Ritchie Street. I think the price for 60GB is very high, nowadays you get a 250GB for around 3K or 3.5K. Look around before buying.

new HDD are SATA. IDE are expensive these days because now they are obsolete.

@k shah : is the 80 gb one which u are refrring to is external hard disk ?

@kumaar shah : the price i was quoting was a ritchie street price..where is reliance digital outlet in chennai?

the price quoted by dealer in ritchie street was with warranty

60 and 80 GB hard disk are outdated, so will no be easily available, even if you find a one it will be costly, 250 GB external (2.5 inch) are available for around 3K, which i feel will be a better purchase unless you are specifically looking for a 60/80 GB HD
