Want To Remove My Cdma Number From Sprint Blackberry 8830 And Use Only For Gsm Blackberry..

Recommended Posts

hi dear frnds and experts,

i hav been using my blackberry 8830(sprint version) for 5 months with reliance cdma number(activated unlimited daa plan). Ihave been trying to set my GPS , email configuration and browser on gsm mode as i was told earlier that i cant use data services on cdma mode.

i came to knw from our experts team( from blackberry 8830 hacks and reviews thread) that v can use GPS in cdma mode so hav tried everything....downloaded mny softwares and pushed mny service books but still i m nt able to use browser( both default and opera/bolt) in gsm mode also. have configured tcp/ apn settings and all...flashed withqpst and tried mny things...but pch...:(

i asked the same many tims in the same thread mny times thinking i ll get reply atleast once...but people responded to mny things on forum but none asnwered....:(

so i now i wanna take out my cdma number from the fone and use only for gsm so that i can use data services on fone...

or if any one who has succeeded in doing so in cdma mode and also using gsm for data, if they can give me a backup file of qpst or some other( i mean without or min/nam), so that i can try it on ma fone....

pls frnds help me...

thanks

One thing I like about 755p is, I also have the number on RUIM. So on weekend trips or going to places where the mobile may be stolen, I just shut off my handset and put the RUIM in a spare LG3500. THis way the mobile remains safe, and I stay worry free :)

Dear Experts

I have a CDMA postpaid number which I was using originally on Nokia 6265.

Later I purchased Mogul 6800 from Dheerajbhai who configured my existing Reliance cdma post number on it. I stopped using Nokia 6265.

Few months later I purchased one BB 8830 from Sadikbhai who configured same CDMA number on a RUIM. I had to use my Nokia 6265 to transfer some data from old Nokia SIm to RUIM. Any was my cdma worked fine for some time on BB both in ruim mode as well as hard programmed.

Later I started using BB only for GSM and RIM cdma on Mogul.

Few days back I tried using cdma on BB (after switching off Mogul) and found that it is not working. Message says contact Customer Care.

I tried using same cdma number on Nokia 6265 and get the same message.

Ofcourse, it is working fine on Mogul 6800.

have I run in to any ESN issue? What I need to do to get cdma post paid working on BB?

Now that data is working on BB in cdma mode, i am planning to use my BB 8830 for cdma post paid and buy another handset fro GSM.

Experts may please guide me...........Thanks in advance.....
