Cool down friends... I told it is PENALTY for selecting Airtel... My friend deserves punishment for selecting a robber for services (YES, I have warned him @ first place itself, That's why)... And the deposit amount is gone as a PUNISHMENT for behaving like a blind-man with open eyes...
And with his Job-position, going to court is NOT feasible and he too is NOT in a mood to do so...

But as I said, he may not have to go to court as they will likely offer to settle out of court. Just filing the case might be enough. Anyway, its his call...

Does Reliance CDMA Kerala have any retention plans? I tried this "trick" and they did not mention any retention plans to me. They asked me to visit the nearest web-world to make the payments and disconnect the connection; they also added that I could switch to prepaid if I wished. I am using their 770 UL plan for the past two years.

^^^ dude, you should not directly ask for retention dept... If they feel you are a retainable customer, they shall directly connect you to them..
because as per your post, i think, you had asked for the retention dept directly...

^^ Nopes, you have grossly mistaken my post. Who in their sane mind would ask Reliance for retention plans?
I just stated my experience. I called the Reliance CC and asked them the procedure to disconnect the connection. The guy asked me to contact the nearest WW. I did so, these guys at the WW did not even enquire the reason for disconnection.
I think know how these things work. Previously when I was Vodafone, they used to give me customized retention plans like 3500 mins of free usage and 4000 SMS (Local + National) every month for 249/-. Guys from Vodafone would call me and discuss numerous "unknown" plans. The same occurred with my Airtel postpaid connection too. We just need to contact the CC and say that we would wish to disconnect. Then CC guys would transfer the call to the so-called retention department.
The point is - it did not occur with Reliance CDMA. I was using that connection (770UL) for two years - the average billed amount always crossed 1500/-.
So I was curious - do such plans exist in Kerala circle? Hence, I posted it in here.
Thanks for replying, though

I guess they arn't exactly that gullible - if they started offering these retention plans, all customers will start calling up with threats to disconnect.
I guess there are no retention plans for pre-paid users... or are there? If there are, then I'm ready with my threats.
And they aren't empty threats either... I'm not very happy with their network...
