If I get the number on my PRE transferred to a new handset, can i ask webworld to put my 2nd number on the MEID RUIM which was given by seller with my PRE (so that pre starts working with my 2nd number) ?

Hey Guys..

Whats the review on voice quality for voice calls..

I get terrible static and echo, and there seem to be no setting get this right..

It is almost impossible to talk in a moving vehicle.. the Echo of the wind results in very faint audibility from the other end..

Is this how the Pre is for all of us.. or did I get a bad piece?

Any suggestions?

^ I never had any voice call quality problems with Pre - though i have other gripes about the build quality of its keyboard etc.

Just check if any setting like hearing aid/tty etc has not been enabled by mistake.

Thought as much.. such a good instrument with high reviews should not have such problems..

Guess I some issue with the setting.. or some hardware trouble..

Please advice something comes to mind of what needs to be checked..

FYI : Echo is bad with and without hands-free..

If the echo problem occurs with the handsfree also then just check if the problem occurs in all areas or only in your home/office etc. ?

Did not find anything for Pre users.. but other Palm phones..

http://discussion.tr...complaints.html

http://www.howardfor...ks-up-TOO-much!

http://www.sprintuse...ad.php?t=155687

Everyone says the same thing, that the mic is extra sensitive, which exactly is the case..

The problem is not faced by all..

None of the threads conclude in anything..

If anyone finds anything, please do post..

Seems Volume care is a good solution..

Is there a solved version posted for webos?
