This thread swings from

Desperation > Anger > Extreme anger > Apathy > An absolutely nonsensical rumor > Interest > More nonsense rumors > Frenzied interest > Eagerly waiting > Rumor is false > repeat

Cant agree more and me feeling the same.

RCOM EVO speed have reduced in last 2 months was waiting for RJIO launch to change but with no launch date in sight have no option but to get a Triband connection from MTNL.

Yeah, I know that... But I am talking about (lack of) Bangalore Live Signal to Chetan ji... But here, the single towers are already fitted with equipments in Dec first week itself, but NO live signal yet, afaik...

Yeah, I know that... But I am talking about (lack of) Bangalore Live Signal to Chetan ji... But here, the single towers are already fitted with equipments in Dec first week itself, but NO live signal yet, afaik...

Signal will not go live as soon as tower is installed :wOOtjumpy: . Once all the planned BTS are installed, sites are powered ON and testing is followed.

i Believe DOT would have been allowed to test the network by switching on nearby BTS and later switched off.

Imagine RJIO completes its rigrous testing in Dec 2015. As soon as they complete their PHD in testing and are ready to launch. They get a letter from DOT stating : "With deep sorrow and grief we have to inform you that since you did not meet our rollout obligations, your license stands cancelled". :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

^^^^^

Only OnePlus ONE supports both Band 3 (FDD-LTE 1800MHz) and Band 40 (TDD-LTE 2300MHz) LTE... Most imported phones never support Band 40 LTE, unless imported from CHINA (they will have problem accessing Google services).. But almost all imported phones from USA supports Band 3 LTE...

By today there is zero number of 4g LTE networks on band 3 in India. The available 4g LTE networks (in half dozen Indian cities) of AirHELL are on band 40 only. Rjio got pan India 4g spectrum of 20MHz on band 40 only.

Rjio (along with airHELL, idea, Vodafone) has got some 5 to 7 MHz in few circles on band 3 during Feb 2014 auction (actually on liberalized 2g spectrum auction). They may launch 4g LTE on band 3 in coming year. But still I am not sure whether iPad will be able to use them, especially cdma iPad.

Thanks for the explanation KD Bhai. Just one question, I don't think there is any different CDMA iPad. The air models are all same as far as I know. They have both radios. Correct me if I am wrong. I am currently using it on idea 3g and hope to use rcdma in it.

Actually I have NO idea about iPad Air (or any apple product TBH)... If its currently working with !dea 3G and also supports band 3, then it will definitely work in upcoming 4G Lte networks on Band 3.. For example, Idea is going to launch 4G LTE [they got 10MHz of 1800MHz there] on Band 3 in Kerala circle, this year...

as bigboys like vodafone & idea did not get spectrum for lte in 2010, now all spectrum goes tech-neutral bigboys & new players incl uninor will look into narrow band lte roll out in coming days, with more focus on data hungry circles/cities.

>>> voice n data says jio may launch on 26th January in selected circles.
