Reliance GSM GPRS Not Supported on BlackBerry 8230?

Guys..I have a R GSM connection and using BB 8230. Was trying to download the GPRS settings thru R-Menu and got the error msg "40'h ME Error". When i call CC for help they said the my phone model does not support GPRS and neither does any other BB device. I will have to access internet through R-World only.
