Was looking for a quick purchase as my primary gsm handset gone dead.

Purchased xolo q1000 opus from local market for 8700 + 800 for 2 year insurance. On flipkart and amazon it was available for 8860 and 8990.

Although it is not as smooth as my HTC droid DNA but I feel it can be a very good competition for any Samsung phone selling for double the price.

i has glonass gps and a-gps in it did you felt the difference in maps and location - try turning off the cell network and then look for localization see if it works well

My cousin would be coming next month from USA...

I would also like to know the review of Motorola Droid Maxx...
And is it really so good? Or shall I wait for S5, HTC One 2 or Nokia 930 which are rumoured to be launched till next month.... And then decide... As I have been using HTC One... I need a phone with super battery...

Right now the super battery is in only one phone. I'm using it now. LS980 G2 by LGSent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

Don't expect super things from S5 or HTC One 2(M8) that are to be released soon, they are gonna have same processor(Snapdragon 800 SoC) as LG G2 & some versions of S4. If at all, they(S5) will be sporting Snapdragon 805 SoC, the only difference from 800 SoC is that 805 will have more powerful GPU. But I guess it is highly irrelevant because the GPU in 800 SoC is already quite powerful to play any present mobile games. Yes, you may see a RAM to be bumped to 3GB but then again, it is irrelevant as 2 GB is highly sufficient for our present needs. Battery wise they will not be having what present phones like LG G2 or Droid Maxx line phones are offering. Yes, if you are after the LATEST things then you can wait but I guess those two phones(S5 & M8 or HTC One 2) will be released in the market only at the end of the March or early April although they would be announced this month.

GPS locking is noticeably quick but turning off the cell network doesn't works. Phone searches for data.
