Go for low end phones as all high end ones have cam

Try LG GB 125, nokia 1800, guru samsung phones, nokia 2323 classic

Well... very few choices are there nowadays, if you want a decent GSM phone without Camera (other than Blackberry) for example Basic handsets from Nokia, SE, Samsung, etc..

I suggest him to go for BB8830 (either GSM or Imported CDMA with GSM Unlocked as sold in our forum by Gurus).. Else going for budget phones is the only way..

Advice him to go for BB 8830; he cant get such a high standard phone at this price. He's making a mistake by not going for it...

agreed 100% with Dhiraj Bhai.

If your fren is worried about Govt. banning blackberry services then tell your friend that Govt. not going to block Mails and Voice calls. its only the Blackberry Messenger which they will block if Research in Motion(BB manufacturer) does not comes with a govt. desired solution.

He already said no BB !

there was one model in SE, which was having symbian 6 , touch screen + mobile keypad, + 4gb internal memory + NO CAM,

more specs here http://www.gsmarena....n_w950-1443.php

my brother is using same phone, good build , good quality, and still working after 2 years.

you may not get this phone in store, look for used one.

UPDATE :- If you want this phone, i can provide you for 12500/- (imported one)

^ The best option for phone w/o camera is definitely BB 8830. Anything else will be very basic and useless. He should try out the BB 8830 in hand and reconsider his decision.

Otherwise only option for good phone w/o camera is to put a BIG STICKER on the camera in any good handset. :Contento:

Yes, Hitesh Bhai.. I too remember that handset..

This was entertainment focused handset and another similar handset was released for business users @ the same time with qwerty keyboard and model number is M600

Features are ditto to w950, except the presence of qwerty KB, in which 2 keys are joined as one button.. Means "QW" is found in one button and if you press that button's left corner, "Q" will come and if you press the button's right corner, "W" will come.. (Means NO NEED TO PRESS TWICE the key for 'W' like in NokiaE55, a half-qwerty device)

^^^

3 more difference

1) key pad is flat in W950, and in M600 its little lifted up.

2) internal storage in W950 is 4gb and M600 only 80MB

3) W950 no SD card slot, M600 SD card up to 4gb

but over all both are look a like phones

I have also worked at a facility which was a no cam, in this ppl. generally do possess a high end handset but while entering they either deposit in their locker/ security and use a basic phone inside the facility.

The requirement it seems is for a basic phone with attractive design and slim and thus light weight to carry around, blackberry looks attractive but could prove to be bulky

then i think  champ will be the best choice for without cam, and supernova can arrange it in india, so i think he should go for it.
