RGSM has become MAD nowadays... They OFFER 9 STD minutes for Rs5/-, where as SimplePPM customers pay Rs4.50 for 9 STD minutes.. Even if they offer this to SimplePPS customers, then that is NOT worth, imho.. I can remember that, even costly VODAF0NE offered 10 STD minutes for Rs4/-

Nowadays RCom is spoiling its recently earned good name (from Simple plans) by these silly offers.. Well all due to the Ex-AirHELL guys in their team.. I wonder, how Amb@ni is still believing those fellows???

And these daily plans cost Rs. 5? ohmy.gif

Docomo charges Rs.2 for daily plans! And its network, tariffs and service are way better than RCom/RGSM.

Can't mention all plans here, but just as an eg. compare the on net plans - Docomo gives following tariff after activating Rs. 2 daily plan:

  • Local Night On-net at 1p/10sec = (ie. 6 p/min)
  • Local On-net at 1p/6sec (ie. 10 p/min)

And RCom gives 20p/min after charging for Rs. 5/day. Confuso.gif

Similarly, SMS will cost half as much on Docomo, etc..

Whats more, voice clarity is so bad you may not be able to use it even if RCom offers it for free.

RCom has truly gone mad.. or the Airtel guys are doing very well in sabotaging it.

There are so many old prepaid customers, who got lifetime by paying around Rs900

and their call charges Local 0.99 STD 1.99 SMS 1.00/2.00, but minimum recharge in

six months is only Rs.10/-. As these people using phones only for incoming purpose

and not updated simple plans as minimum recharge rule will change to Rs200/-. So

these plans were useful to them, case in need of temporary outgoing.

You may be right, but then these plans are outrageous to say the least.....

The Airhell guys have started screwing the company left right and center, they will leave only after accomplishing their task of making RCOM the last telecom company from their 2nd position. These Airhell guys may be getting salaries from both Airhell and from RCOM and they are thus making merry at RCOMs expense.

Hope Ambani sees the reality and sacks the Airhell guys immediately and saves his company from total disaster...

The above Phoron 5 is also available in Chennai since the last 10 days atleast, no idea about the RoI... maybe it is a soft launch and they did not advertise about it at all....

And please change the title of this topic to "PHORON 5", it is misleading....

RCOM better realise what is happening at their side!!!!!

After the GTL and the ETISALAT deal falling through, RCOM must put on their thinking caps and mend their ways. Its really a big negative for them!!!

Just have a look at Idea's Rs. 4 packs for Mah & Goa -

40 Local Idea Night Minutes

15 Local Idea Minutes

8 Local/STD Minutes

100 Local/National SMS

Note that these cost Rs. 4 against Rs. 5 of RCom.

Further, Idea night calling starts from 10pm and RCom's from 11pm.

You can calculate and see that either these are CHEAPER or equal to RCom's plan!! ohmy.gif

And for those out of Mah. - Idea is the dominant player here and RCom cannot hold a candle to their network (not even RCDMA).

And we thought Idea was going mad (in a way it is, when compared to Docomo, etc., their plans are not at all competitive).

previous.gif Thats what I'm saying! Idea has gone mad for sure... but not RCom is out to outdo them. If RCom thinks it can equal or more than Idea (Mah.), then they are the maddest of them all. huh.gif
