Fly Ivory is a Win-Mo 6.1 Dual SIM GSM (2G) and EVDO Rev.A handset

http://www.flyphone.in/products/IVORY.html?model_name=IVORY

ZTE Buzz is possibly ZTE GC 990 - GSM/CDMA qwerty - but CDMA 1x only (As per GSM Arena the GSM version - X990 is Win Mo 6.5 based, but no idea about this one)

No idea about Micromax Alive

Are you 100% sure that Ivory is a dual-sim dual-mode phone?

For me, text near to that signal bars looks like "1x CDMA" and "EVDO" but I'm not sure since the picture resolution is very poor. It's normal that almost all 3G phones will have separate bars for 2G and 3G.

Are they allowing foreign handset just for voice+text? It's fine even if they don't allow EVDO.

Hi,

Please find the MTS Alive and Ivory smart phone specification and comparison.

As per my talk with the MTS store, MTS alive is available in the major city's store and Ivory will be available in January -2011

Alive and Ivory are the names of the latest smart phones which are recently launched by MTS. These latest handsets will make an addition to the available list of smart phones and will provide greater choice options to the users.

MTS which is the mobile telephony brand of Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) has launched these handset keeping in mind the needs and requirements of the net-savvy professionals as the phone comes with high speed internet facility along with EVDO support.

These latest handsets from MTS will also allow you to stay connected to your loved ones as they provide access to various social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Live Messenger and others. The Alive, Ivory mobile phones are the OEM’s of Micromax, Fly respectively.

price is yet to finalize, different websites tells the different rate.

Guys, I am interested a lot in this and desperately waiting for this (Ivory) phone… :)
